Tarja is great. I love her voice, especially live. Last time at the Dark Christmas concert, goosebumps from start to finish, and that was her last concert of the long Christmas tour. Phantom of the Opera always sounds best to me from her. I don't understand how she can sing it almost every night on tour. Female singers usually sing the last notes from playback because it is very tiring every night, but Tarja sings it live and her voice is so strong. I think Tarja sang it here with even higher notes than usual.
Agreed. Tarja has sung this song so god damn much that I don't know how she still manages... She has done from a C6 on not so good nights, to D6 on regular nights, to Eb6 to E6 in perfect nights to a fucking G6 in the studio... and she is a heavy type of soprano! She is an amazing singer.

@@nodb8185 I did. Very good performance. Yes , she mixed up the lyrics , yes, the sound wasn't the best (did you expect studio recording quality in the rock festival cellphone video? ) yes she sung D6 instead Eb6 but both Tarja & Mako were on fire 🙂
Marko is good, despite fact that he is more than 10 years older than Tarja, he sings well. Tarja, on other hand, has been sounding weak and uneven lately, not singing endings well, not singing phrases or vocalizations without pauses. I love Tarja, but I wish she would make more effort and take things more seriously.
An awesome, stripped down version! Marko having some great revamped twists to his voice, Tarja super strong on her last cadence. I recognize the keyboardist from the Christmas tour. Loved the intro. Love Marco's attire lately, much more well-put together than a few years back. I am sure that they will have quite the task having to sing phantom every night. Not that easy to have your most famous duet be such a difficult song. They do not take themselves too seriously, though, and are having a great time. They can sing this in their sleep while goofing around. Muchas gracias por filmarlo!

I have mixed emotions. On one side, I'm emotional seeing these two together again. On the other hand, it somehow looks a bit off and disconnected... it lacked energy. They seem paralyzed onstage, uncomfortable even. Maybe they should come up with new songs together, instead of singing songs from a past they feel no connection anymore. The band also sounds a bit weird when playing Nightwish songs, I can't figure out why. Probably because they are not.. 😂 Don't get me wrong, I love Tarja and I want the best for her.

Out of breath?! And where exactly she doesn't match floor? Tarja sang this countless times compared to floor (i love her,be it clear), can you even imagine what it means to sing it every second night for months on a tour? Plus she sang it in many ways and many versions with many male singers and i listened to them all: maybe it's the opposite, floor (the grandiose and lovely floor!) can't match her.
Of course tarja can’t compete with a pop singer lol. Tarja is in the league of her own actually sings the song properly with vibrato unlike floor, Floor just screams eww my ears. Thank goodness tarja can cleanse my ears with her notes.
Amazing as always but... What were the surprises? Even the most beautiful song on earth becomes boring when you play it ENDLESSLY. Not to mention the choice of OTHAFA... I mean, it's been 23 freaking years now. And despite this being the usual masterpiece i think Beauty of the Beast or Beauty and the Beast would have made the heavens fall 😊

@@nodb8185Obvious troll, but I’ll bite. Floor made a career out of being a cheap imitation of Tarja, and her crowning moment came at imitating Tarja in her former band. Meanwhile, Tarja’s moved on, and her music now is better than NW’s. See? Two people can play that game.
