For anyone wondering, PTA often makes a short film out of unused footage from the feature film he just completed. It’s not an alternate ending, it’s just a creative way to show other shots and scenes he might’ve liked that didn’t fit right for the tone of the film.

DJ Nandita They replaced it with another scene, a more subtle one. I can see why they removed it. In the theater one they show a baby in a carriage walking in a park, in this one the baby is already walking. I think given how particular Woodcock is, he wouldn’t sit reading with a baby making noises around him. Seems out of character, including the PDA by the mountain which he avoids during the whole film.
