I haven't seen this one in a long time. Outstanding...I'll have the chance to refamiliarize myself with this 1957 thriller.

For anyone watching, if you ever get stung by a scorpion, do NOT do what the actor did! It's not a snake bite nd you can't suck the poison out. The FIRST thing you do is locate the scorpion so it doesn't keep stinging your patient as you're treating them! You don't need to do anything for a scorpion sting. It'll hurt, but that'll go away in a few hours.

This film has remarkable resolution in B/W, good sound for 1956. The copywrite at beginning reads MCMLVi, so the quality of it is great.

I love the actor who plays the Captain. This really is a good old movie !

The "Curse" genre of horror is always fun. In fact archeology horror movies would be super boring if there wasn't a chance you unleash a curse whenever you find and open something old. For example, imagine watching a movie where archeologists open the tomb of "King Whatever" and nothing happens. Luckily in this movie everything you imagine happening happens! So see you when we watch....(in a slow scary voice)....."PHARAOHS CURSE".

Give Mr. Livingston a raise!

For such a low budget film, this is really a bit of a gem. I'd give it a worthwhile to watch star.

Never seen this great movie before but boy did I enjoy it. And this is the best channel on u-tube such fun and just watched the J.C movie again never heard of it Bodybags !! But omg it was fantastic a who's who of stars in it all brought by a great great channel and Vincent and all I love you guys you all always pick me up and make me laugh and smile love you all.

Couldn't stay up late enough last night to watch this film, but I watched it today. I disagree with your analysis of the films on Friday versus Saturday night. This film was excellent. And of course you all being there makes it worth watching the show.

had to enter again. I could tell that this wasn't made in Egypt. The sand over there and eastern bounderies of Mediterranian Sea into Arabia is totally different, but no matter the movie was ok for its day. And the high resolution made it easier to view. All actors spoke very well(no stammering or sluffings of speech) making everything said understandable

I’ve been a fan of these, since I was a kid. I remember our moms would drop us off at the Indiana theater for the matinee’s, and we would watch movies, including night of the living, dead, Dracula movies, which are really scary, and the Frankenstein ones which are pretty scary to , I lived on a farm and every night I had to go out and collect the warm eggs from the chickens in the evening I lose and I don’t always worry about getting back from the barn with the warm eggs in my bicycle basket before the sun went down, and I was really scared🎉

"Pharaoh" doesn't actually mean "king" in Egyptian. It means "the big house" and refers to the palace, in the same way that people today might say "the white house" when they mean the President.

Love the whole Egyptian tomb mystery , and that Egyptian girl from the desert was totally smokin" , very attractive and perfect for the part . As usual Vincent , Tangella , and Livingston made the entire experience so very entertaining . Thank you guys , great movie !

"Pharaoh's Curse" - which can only mean: The Sahara Desert. There will be: Sand in my pic nic basket. Sand in my SPAM-wiches. Since this is a film made in the 1950s, expect to see: Women archeologists crossing the Sahara Desert wearing high heel shoes. (Only wild camels leave skid marks on the desert sands :)

Actually, "Pharaoh" means "great house". In the same sense of "Fall of the House of Usher". Or Lincoln's assessment of the split between North and South -- an ancient Biblical reference: "A House divided against itself cannot stand." In other words, "House " means "Family". So, Pharaoh is more than just "King". He is revered as "The Father of his county". Even though this film was shot on the cheap it is still surprisingly high quality photography. The indication is that each frame has pure blacks, pure whites, and full spectrum of grays in between. Whereas poor quality would be absence of widely varrying shades gray (contrast is too High). Or nothing but mushy gray (contrast is too Low).

Honestly this would be more appropriate to Mystery Science Theater. They would have a hayday.

Can't share the below sentiments re: this film, in fact, I started getting restless towards the end. This is no gem. As for the mummy or whatever he was, he is not and never will be thee Boris Karloff.

In beginning officer goes "I may suggest sir turn your lamp down" so he turned it down but look at the big old globe behind him you can see 3 blasting bright round reflections off that globe of the old-school studio kleig lights in perfect order the overhead with two fill lights each side.😅

I love that the mysterious Egyptian woman has no luggage, yet still manages to change her dress a couple times on the journey. Wish I could that, it would make travelling a whole lot easier. 😂😂😂😂

In the late 60's early 70's when I was a tween there was a program on Friday nites on WGN channel 9 in Chicago called Creature Features that ran old horror films. They played Henry Mancini's Experiment In Terror as the theme song. Some of those old movies scared me silly. There's a website for it too. I'm digging your nineties goth look. I'm new to this channel, because you named it Creature Features I'll be checking back in.

Purple Hair does not match Livingstons brooding screen Presence, but he's better off than Andrew. Tangella's salon skills are less painful than other instruments she uses.

This is a fun and definitely overlooked mummy movie.
