I go into vet school and pharmacology is one of the classes I took. As I know, pharmacy is more like applied chemistry, chemistry in practice. There is not so much math but a lot more of chemistry! In my country is quite hard to be accepted into pharmacy school because of big interest. And what I can say as a student, faculty does not end up smart ones but persistent ones haha! The most important is that you're interested in what you're studying and then everything goes easier. So you don't need to be extremly smart but persistent and motivated to gather as much knowledge as you can. :)
I never read book of pharmacology, i was always learn pharmacology from this videos, thank you, i think, it will be very famous videoguide of medicine in the future.
