I one time had ring worm in my arm and a lady at work saw me and told me to put some LAMISIL CREAM on the area, well i did and it went away. I was surprised about it but it worked for me...

I used to get them and I used the good ole medical iodine, rubbed it on twice a day till gone.

@@Last_Order14 I finished taking the course of Fluconazole but it didn't work, so I went back to the nurse and explained what I'd found myself from various videos/articles. She checked on the Lab results and said it was strange as they usually say what is the rec recommended medication but there was nothing on there. So she went to speak to a doctor about it and then came back and prescribed to me Metronidazole, which did clear it up. However I've now been left with constant high pitched ringing (Tinnitus) in my left ear. Was referred to hospital where they did visual examination and hearing test. Found very slight hearing loss in that ear. Then booked me for a MRI which came back clear, so basically said nothing they can do, just have to live with it.

Dude you’re a clown. I looked it up and I found that the prefix nazole means antifungal and the prefix dazol means antibiotic. Common man get it right

Yes, very much so. It's highly hepatotoxic which is why it's never given systemically. It's only topical. Even the swish & swallow for oral thrush is effectively "topical" treatment for the gut since nystatin is too large to be absorbed in the intestines. Vancomycin given orally works the same way, because it too is too large to be absorbed. If you need to treat infections in the body, you have to give it IV.

How did you test for this bacteria?

​@@danielmarone5757will it treat candida in the gut, my doctor gave me the swish and swallow for some reason for a possible Candida overgrowth in the gut

Good question for your doctor, not for the internet. I can tell you what likely is going on, but your doctor needs to answer that question because they've actually seen you, seen your skin and the extent of the injury, and can determine the best treatment.

usually yes because it doesn't get absorbed in the system.

Is nystatin can't affect kidney and liver?

Did you took nystatin? Did it work? I have an infection in my throat, and can’t eat solid foods yet, I’m taking nystatin

he mentioned that -nazole is for the nail and Nyastatin is for the mouth.. so your best bet would be Nyastatin for your thrush.

fluconazole can be used for various type of fungal infections, it's not limited to nail fungus. in fact for nail fungus they usually prescribe a different type of drug that wasn't even mentioned in the video which is called terbinafine. also when it's a serious type of infection then might as well try a combination treatment. for example fluconazole and terbinafine known to create synergy.

​@@hungrysimi Hi, I was prescribed fluconazole (generic brand for diflucan) after I begin losing hair around the perimeter of my scalp (what is believed to be a fungal infection) In the video, the nurse says that "nazole" means nail. But I I DON'T have a nail infection. Should I have been described something else?

@tatianadaniel3569 hi there👋🏼 i'm not a medical expert, but fluconazole is used for various types of fungal infections. in my experience, for scalp and skin in general, they usually prescribe shampoos or creams with antifungal effect. i have no idea why, in your case, you were prescribed fluconazole because that is more for infection within the body as it will be absorbed into the bloodstream and reaches every organ. don't be shy to ask/question your doctor. also, you can find off the counter antifungal shampoos and creams to treat your condition. prescribed medication is not always the ONLY or even the best option available.

@@hungrysimi I wish I would have seen your comment a few minutes before taking the medication 🤦🏾‍♀️🙃 At the beginning of the year, I was prescribed a topical cream for the problem. It didn't work. So she prescribed me with an antifungal shampoo. It didn't work. Obviously from the beginning of the year, time has gone by and I begin to notice that I was losing more hair around the perimeter of my scalp and made an appointment to see my doctor which is when she prescribed fluconazole to me (I guess it's a last ditch effort🤷🏾‍♀️). I only have to take it for the next five days and the dosage gradually decreases. Hopefully this works. Thank you so much for responding to me and giving me some extra info. 💕
