@@the24thintrovert Yes definitely, you can become faculty in NIT no doubt, but IIT somewhat difficult, unless your research in totally new area or for those positions applications are very less. For verifying it, you can see the website of any IIT and see the qualification of Asst. Professors recently got hired, not Seniour professors, that time number of PhDs were very less.

Sir, I'm interested in academia job, currently I'm enrolled in PhD at IIT Jodhpur, along side, I also get selected in (Bharat Petroleum Corporate Ltd) BPCL at GMT post, I'm 22 year old, Is it worth to leave PSU job for PhD and aim to become professor in some good Institutes after PhD?

@@facttechkumargaurav No, please donot leave PSU Job. I strongly suggest. You do Part-time PhD, best option for you. You will have both experience, and definitely after your part-time PhD you will get 100% very good academia Job. Talk to your guide same full-time PhD convert into Part-time PhD.

@@devvikas2102 Dekhia iska fayada bhi hai and nuksaan bhi hai. One line me answer dena mushkil hai. Lekin jaha tak mera opinion hai agar joint PhD with foreign Universities se hota hai to sahi hai. Nahi to regular PhD kisi ak guide ke andar lena sahi hoga kisi ak institution me. Kyuki jayada guide jyada problem. Kabhi kabhi lekin jyada guide jyada fayda bhi ho jata hai. Facilities provide karana apke guide pe dependent hai, mai bolunga single achha guide chun ke unke paas jaiyea PhD karne kisi bhi ak institution me, jyada chance hai ki ye risk free hoga. @@ancareertalkssir वैसे joint phd कि डिग्री तो बेहतर या रेगुलर phd जैसे ही होंगी ना? मतलब डिग्री कि वैल्यू उतनी ही रहेगी ना (जैसे कि रेगुलर phd degree) बस phd के दौरान दो गाइड है तो दोनों के हिसाब से काम करना थोड़ा मुश्किल है, अंतर बस यही है ना, बाकि तो सब ठीक है ना? क्योंकि हमें अभी यह joint phd वाली opportunity मिली है तो अगर छोड़ता हु तो डर है कि दिसंबर वाले phd admission cycle मे अगर किसी iit मे नहीं हुआ तो साल बर्बाद.... अब आप हमारी शंका का समाधान करे, मुझे उचित मार्गदर्शन करे, मै काफ़ी confusion मे हु!

@@devvikas2102 Value utna hi rahega dono ka. Kyuki dono IIT hi hai. Koi foreign institute rahta to alag hota. Foreign exposure bhi milta. Aap kya karo aap join kar lo abhi, phir achha jagah aur dekhna phir ho jayega to chhor sakte ho. Nahi hoga to bhi dikkat nahi hai.

In my opinion, If you are getting good college, then first try for a faculty position. Otherwise go to US for postdoc positions, if research is your passion and want to explore more in nanoscience. In India, you will not get exposure. I will never suggest doing a Postdoc in India from any college, go for international exposure. Your resume will be boosted.

@@ajayzapadiya9156 No need to do project in IITs, it is not required at all, directly you can apply for postdoc positions in foreign universities. In every video I am saying, for getting good postdoc abroad only good quality research (High quality journal publications) is needed nothing else. Publish in good journals that's it. You can shift, If 1 year only you have completed in PhD. Nothing new research you will do in IIT but you will have a IIT tag. In India only you will get more value. Regarding age, any how you will be going to complete PhD at 35-36 years. So, many places you will not be eligible. So you can shift.
