(1) Catch a pheasant as bait, (2) Use little pinky finger, (3) Push pinky finger back and forth in pheasant's pucker hole, (4) Adjust pheasant call with velocity and depth of finger - catching other pheasants responding to first pheasant. Same technique for working pigeons, doves, crows, ravens, magpies, ducks, geese, swans, ....

The calls would be great for locating too so you can set traps in the right places. Thanks man

We don't hunt -0 but will love it to attract (loads of pheasants in our area and my wife sounds like a turkey when she tries the call Different use than yours but sounds a LOT closer so will give a go on our walks. Odd Christmas present so buying now :)

The only bird callers I have known to work are for crovids and even then only the electronic ones that are illegal. I don't believe callers for Pheasants would work, they have poor hearing but excellent eyesight.

Here we go Malc, like all decoys calltakes practice to get the correct tone, your pheasant call didn't sound at all like a cock pheasant calling for its mate or a distress call or the sound when it's roosting time, used correctly you will get in my opinion 98 % correct tone, I've had a lot of practice and use my throat, no I'm not a poacher lol. Ive been hunting for years mate, oh by the way in my opinion the 2 % will spook the bird it's got to be Spot on.
