I live in new Hampshire and we dont have wild pheasent here, only stockers. And they never survive the winter. Too far north for them, I suspect Wisc. is the same.

Yeah...ya pay to hunt pheasants. They cost about $3.50 a bird as a peep, then the cost of food and maintain them. Coops, pens, blinders, food, bedding, water, labor....they are a game bird not a chicken.
