Phendrana Drifts (Metroid Prime) Jazz Cover 

I hope everyone appreciates the sheer skill it took to turn an ambiental song into a jazz song so seamlessly! fantastic job like always. the improv towards the center was exceptional too. "You've got talent there kid. take it from me, I have one of those kits to make myself more rectangular. (it doesn't work)"

I just finished playing through Metroid Prime again earlier this week. One of my favorite games in the series because of it's immersive atmosphere and music. Great arrangement! I really like this song.

dude i miss when insane's covers were like this.... not too much going on, simple, perfect, with the creative energy going into what he did with these songs, in terms of improvisation/form, not just instrumentation/orchestration... his covers are still good but not quite like this anymore... i don't blame him, i'm also a musician and artist and it's hard, really hard to even keep something like this going for this long, i commend him intensely on everything he's ever done, i suppose i just somewhat wish he didn't strain himself so much for everything he does, and kept things manageable... man, i don't know, even as i write this, i don't want him to think he's doing bad work! he's still one of the most inspiring musicians and artists in the world in my heart... anyways carlos if you read this, don't take this as discouragement! take this as encouragement to let yourself breathe! you don't have to pull out all the stops for everything you do, you can chill out! it's good to be ambitious, but don't overstrain yourself... you are more important than your work! no matter what, don't give up unless you come to the point where that will make you happy. thank you so much for all that you've done, even if you quit now you already would have made the world a much more magical place than so many people ever do in a lifetime.
