Good video! I think it is also good to mention that due to deficiency in phenylalanine hydroxylase the tyrosine becomes an essential amino acid and needs to be supplemented.

Good video but kuvan treatment is not useable for all patients. It can only use in sapropterin responsive types. It is not a common treatment. Firstly patients must undergo a sapropterin response test. Also, another treatment option is LNAA (large neutral aminoacides). Supplementing with large neutral amino acids (LNAAs) has been proposed as an alternative medication to Phe-free protein substitutes .
