My Father (Jim) was a huge fan of Phil Collins. We had this play at his funeral today. R.I.P Dad 05/11/65 - 18/02/24. I hope we did you proud, I love you! xx

I remember this video as a child, lone before I ever became homeless myself, and it moved me even then. Then as an adult I spent over 9 1/2 years living with no home, on streets and in shelters, had to beg at times, freezing at times because Im in a cold area of the US. It took ten years and disability diagnosis, almost dying, being raped sleeping in a park, before I finally found anyone to help and life's not perfect now but at least I have an Apt and some money and am safe.

Fun fact: This song was the last hit from the 80s and the first from the 90s, being number one in the charts between Dec 1989 and Jan 1990.

This songs brings tears to my eyes. Reminds me when I was homeless and addicted to drugs and I'd walk the streets thinking no one cared. Been clean and sober nearly 17 years now and this songs still takes me back to a dark place 😔

i was homeless before and i was just 21 and with all honesty its no joke on the streets....be thankfull for what you have and never forget to help the poor.....most people dont understand how easy it is to become homeless.....God bless you all

I heard this song in 1989 when I first got married. When I have hard times or good times I remember this song because we all have something to be thankful for. You give thanks all year long and not just at Thanksgiving. Alot of people don't care about things anymore or anyone. America people are so ungrateful and we all take things for granted. We don't know how lucky we are until you see someone that is a lot more unfortunate.

Every time I hear the song it makes me want to break down and cry to think about all those in need. My husband has helped more people to get back on their feet than anybody else I know. Much to my chagrin. However there was one time at a Greyhound bus stop for a little old lady asked him for help to pick up her bags and when he did she screamed for help. So, this day and age it's just hard to have a warm heart

this song really grasps the fact that we are as a majority are closed off selfish or to afraid to show compassion.. my wife had this till i showed her how easy it is to take a coffee and a roll to a homeless person and see how it brightens their day to see someone still cares. even the small things can make great changes.

Sometimes I feel sad because I turned 75. But then again I feel so happy because I was fortunate to live in the 60's (as a teenager) and the fabulous 70's, 80's and 90's times where the best songs ever where written ❤

Open your heart and help a person on the street. I witness a woman eating out of a garbage can. I lay awake all night thinking about her. The next day I drove around my city till I found her sitting in the shade in a corner at a shopping center. I had already packed clean clothes, some toiletries, water+snacks, and money in a bag for her. She was very grateful and I wish I could have done more for her.
