In this final episode on “Toxic Personalities In The Real World”, Dr. Phil discusses the importance of being unique, essential, and relevant. He urges you to be intentional in your actions and choices, instead of simply reacting to your environment. Do not rely on willpower alone, as it is unreliable and fleeting. Instead, he suggests developing the discipline to stop multitasking, which can increase cognitive and mental efficiency by as much as 40%.
Learn to unclutter your mind by identifying and addressing the thoughts, guilt, grudges, and negative self-talk that you may carry. Clean up one's social circle, only surrounding oneself with people who value and respect you. Pick your battles and do not react to every offense. It is important to be in control of oneself and not allow others to determine one's actions. Dr. Phil concludes by encouraging you to find your passion and purpose in life, as this is key to discovering fulfillment and living a meaningful life.

Thank you, Dr. Phil. This info is so important to educate the masses; this is not common law. Just wanted to share: My father-in-law is a retired parole officer and he gave me the best advice that saved my life. He said, “the only way to get better and stop walking into another d.v. abusive relationship is d.v. counseling. He said, “The d.v. survivor’s who go to d.v. counseling go on to live a good life. The rest of them walk right back into another abusive relationship and most of them don’t survive.” My ancestors can RIP. Ps. The “Phantom of the Opera” took on whole new meaning for me.

Dear dr Phil. Thank you very much for this session with you. I need this because I have been beating myself up for decades because that is what my mom and sister did. I was in denial about the fact that they were abusive and hateful and jealous. I kept sending $ and helping to have a family. I finally realize that. Now late in my life years I’m am uncluttering my house and mind. I’m taking the bull by the horns to move back to the country of my roots which i have missed for decades. I am doing it with little money. But I’m doing it for me. I know some relatives will welcome me. AND your lessons today will be on my list 😊 every day. Boy do I wish I could spend time with you. This is day one on talking differently to myself. ❤thank you

Since my Dad passed in October and I have had to go no contact with my extremely toxic family I have not found a purpose for my life. I am 63 with some limiting health issues. I have 2 cats and a dog that are my whole world . I can't handel any more pets financially right now. So far I have not found a social niche. It is difficult for me to trust any new people as the emotional wounds from family are still smarting pretty intensely. I have very strong rejection sensitivity. My cats hurt my feelings when they don't want to be petted. I know they love me and cats just like their space sometimes. I know that in my mind but I still react emotionally. So if I initiate contact with a person a few times and they don't reciprocate I just drop it and don't keep trying.

You sound like me except for the part of the rejection from your cat. I lost my son 4 yrs ago, and it it seems like yesterday. My immediate family was never there for me. I need to move on but have problems trusting people. I am a nature, mother earth kind. I am 66 yrs old and working on retiring. I just want to move on from the past. Good luck to you and embrace Mother Nature, which is real❤

Holy shit. When listening to this I realize the exact incident where I started to despise my appearance and started to cut moms developed photos of me and stuff. First grade on the first on the first break during the day, Kim was his name. After that it was a mantra and now I’m crying like an 8 year old school girl who just saw a spider on her vagina during my morning walk. Haha. Heading towards therapy in six hours so the timing is really perfect. This really helped, again. Thank you for all your videos and insights, really. All love!

I have to say this , I have been looking for truth about how to grow and move past all the things that have been happening in my life , for as long as I can remember and how to make the change in me on how I over share, allow from others and when to pick what is important in my life and what I have to change , to avoid unnecessary and foolish projections that only stop me from healing and moving forward, this does not mean every thing will change over night but it dose mean I have some tools and some place to start . This was a very good series for me

Thanks for honoring my freedom of speech. I remember on his television show, how Phil gave his psychological "counsel" to a woman with five kids and no job about how he wanted her to get up each morning feeling happy ... as does HE. Phil is a multi-millionaire ... so his words of "help" to her seemed crass ... and not at all helpful. I'd like to know how she felt about Dr. Phil's "counsel" ... after she left the "SHOW."

This is interesting about not multi-tasking.....because I got acute mold poisoning years ago and became physically & cognitively impaired......and I had to come out of it by making monumental health changes and learning to do 1 thing at a time to focus on completing a task. I am now much better but have adjusted to a much more peaceful lifestyle and in fact, I require that for my life from here on out. I have learned to do without many things and the commotion in order to have much more peace in my life.

Dr Phil, I have 2 older brothers, I'm the youngest and only girl and it overlaps between 5/6 years between us all. I'm in my middle 50's now and we had no physical hugs, kisses, loving atmosphere in our home, at all. My eldest brother and I could do no right, where our middle brother could do no wrong. I suffered migraines ever since I stated Kindy and missed out on 1 1/2 to 2 weeks of schooling until I was ten. I remember vomiting, couldn't handle seeing Any light, dragging myself to the loo and back to bed my head hurt that much. The medication I had, stained my teeth brown, as I was a 'guinea pig' at the time and my Dad, finally took me to a specialist who said my tonsils were rotten, and I should have had then out when I was 5. Not long after when I turned 11, I was looking out the window at leaf on a tree and asked my middle brother it that looked 'fuzzy' to him - long story short, I needed glasses and didn't want anymore bullying at school (I was 'stupid' already) and I only used them at home. So, I asked my mother, why was I born, and she said 'I wanted a doll'. It's too late now, but I grew up with no self esteem, no self worth, I could read and write, but couldn't do math, by the time I was 11, my eldest brother was out of the house and at uni, and I was literally saying goodbye to one of my middle brother's girlfriends at the back door, while he was greeting another one at the front door. Needless to say, us kids were never close. I am blessed - I felt, then heard then listened to The Holy Spirit within me. I know, I wouldn't be where I am today if I didn't have a personal relationship with 3 Awesome people in my life. God, who it's a person, Jesus, well is a person and The Holy Spirit, who lives in me. Romans, Chapter 12: verse 21 - Do not be overcome with evil, But overcome evil with good. Whomever reads this and believes Jesus Died for our sins and Rose Again on the 3rd day, You Will be saved. God's Blessings to you and The Holy Spirits Guidance be with you. Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet, and light to my path 🙏💗❤

I love the song from the 80s we are the world for Africa . Now it's Ukraine and Gaza and still in Africa. Look at the cartels sealing weman and children in to sex slaves. And the USA with its people just let it happen. As a child coming up I did not won't to be here this world discuss me . If I woke up tomorrow with a billion dollars I would feed a billion kids . Except Dr. Phil, Trust is a gift of love, they can't earn it, if you didn't already give them a little trust to see what they did with it. A small gift, but a gift all the same. It's a chicken vs the egg dilemma. You did say "Try a little something and see if it works.." You did Dr, Phil, give them a little gift of trust, maybe 1%, but something all the same. THAT WAS KIND OF YOU! ❤
