Actually I was unaware Phil Perry and his group of jazz, I don't have the appropriate words that deserves to be praised as excellent vocalist, unique in its style, engendered a pace and style with your very own group... the group that interprets the key instruments to give this peculiarity of jazz intonation, exquisite... is heard with a high-quality tones that highlights, pleasant to enjoy it, truly I am impressed. I recommend it among the best in the world in jazz... I congratulate you and I see you have your personal group, even though you have duos in instrumentation and vocal, which finally seamlessly integrate to your style. God bless you... What an amazing voice range this man has. I only have one of his cd`s (If Only You Knew), but as of right now I`m on line looking for more to buy. I really like listening to him sing remakes and his own songs as well. Can`t say enough about his singing....but he`s really good.

Donald Rideau, even though I love Sam Cooke's music, I don't understand the motivation for your comment. If Phil Perry were to just try to create a carbon copy of Sam Cooke's hit song people would bash him for his lack of creativity and originality. He's not trying to "get close" to Sam Cooke's version. He has his own voice and his own style. Everyone has their personal preferences, but come on man. And lol, Phil Perry has been recording and selling music since the early 70's. I don't think he needs anyone to give him false hope after 40 years of recording music.
