According to cyclist uk: "AEG Sports confirmed that the men's and women's WorldTour races would be put on hiatus for next season due to mounting financial challenges, but hope to relaunch in 2022 under a new business model."
Finally this is getting somewhere. Episode during the ride is excellent format. Just cut the Lex interview kind of content shorter. It does not need to be that serious folks. Plenty of other channels for that.
Thanks, Phil, for the Tour of California 'Cookie Corner' memories. I rode up Mt. Baldy between the women's and men's races at the 2019 Tour of California - riding through Cookie Corner was a memorable part of that experience. It was a lot colder on the mountain that day than when you filmed this...
Great episode guys! would have been better though for Lex's segment was a full clip that's separate to have it more emphasis and has a totally different tone.
Just wanted to counter those who said they didn't care for Lex's LYBF interview. While Phil giving the news is great, this interview was particularly important, especially for cyclists. These folks are doing important work and they deserve our time and support. Keep in mind that we're all just one distracted driver away from benefitting from their work!
I totally agree. Lex did a great job interviewing Adam Pierce and the timing is excellent seeing that their Ride for Resilience starts in May. Ian Boswell is even involved ❤️
I take my Strava comment back. Great episode Phil - totally new and rad content. Plus being a German Auburn Alum I love the shout out to my alma mater and the fatherland! War Eagle!!!
The high point in SoCal is San Gorgonio Mountain at 11,500. It is close to Oak Glen from Redlands Stage Race. Not sure if that is what you are seeing there, but could be. It may be 40 miles ATCF from Baldy. Nice episode!
I enjoyed the film. Here's my obligatory self deprecating comment: If I stopped at cookie corner I wouldn't be able to get the bike rolling again unless I started downhill and did a u-turn.
The interviews are not a bad idea, but they take up way too much time in the show. Maybe just have a condensed version here, and make the full length version available separately.
Any chance you guys will separate the news, interview, and other segments from Phil telling us about his ride? I'm really only interested in watching the ride part.
That middle segment was unnecessary. Wearing protective gear during a high risk physical activity, doesn’t absolve someone from getting a life changing injury. How many organizations need to pop up to remind us of that?
What you can go outside? Wait he's not wearing a mask wheres a Karen when you need one. As to the tour of California . Probably had to cancel because of the excessive taxes and laws jn the once great state.
