Recently my mum told me she cried every time she heard me sing this song. I thought it was the holy spirit but it turns out she only likes traditional versions of carols. We haven't been able to reconcile but I'm sure by playing this over and over and singing it to her she will find a new profound joy in Jesus.

He was created in the same way all storybook characters are created through the creative and imaginative minds of thinkers and dreamers and writers and storytellers who have been around since the beginning of human history. These memorable characters come from the same type of creative and imaginative human minds as those of William Shakespear, Edgar Allan Poe, JK Rowling, JR Tolkien and others like them who brought us such memorable characters as Puck from a Mid Summer Nights Dream, or a talking Raven quoting "nevermore", or a man's mind tortured by the sound of a beating heart beneath his floorboards. All of these stories and characters are wonderful but fictional. The magic and wizardy of fictional characters like Harry Potter, or Elves and Hobbits, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Tarzan and Korak the Son of Tarzan, again, all fiction. These writers and dreamers and storytellers are cut from the very same piece of human cloth as those creative minds who brought you God and, Jesus, the Son of God, who brought you Noah and his Arc, Moses, David, Goliath and all of the other fictional characters you have somehow embraced as real. You may hope that someday I discover Jesus but, in the same token, I hope someday you might discover the difference between reality and belief, between fact and fiction to understand that fire breathing dragons are not real but rather the product of the creative and imaginative minds of human beings who came before us. I'm trying to educate you. I'm trying to help make you a stronger person, to help prepare you for the silence and nothingness of your eventual non-existence. My best advice for you and people like you is to leave behind wonderful memories for your family and friends to remember you by. ✌ Merry Christmas.
