Wow, great analysis, I try to sing his songs some times, but its so hard to get a great feel in the music and the dynamics, I'm gonna try to practice in sections like you showed in the video, and nice to see that you are not religious and like his music, sometimes people have prejudices with christian musicians, have a great day, bless you.

The wee exercise is a great place to get that nice soft compression. You also get a fast vibrato from it. I'm finally starting to understand singing. It just takes time for you to build it into muscle memory. My coach just basically said do it 1000s of times and you'll get it. Singing is pretty much drill, drill, and drill lol.

Feels like I'm the only one who can pick up on a little cursive singing from him cause I can't find a video, post, or comment anywhere about it. Like he sounds phenomenal; I just think there's a good extra 10-20% of his openness that can be used that's always cut off.

What you do is great. Many people need a simple explanation and demonstration formula for this platform which rewards on making simple concepts complicated for move video views.

I like his voice a lot actually but not going to be one who's easy for me to mimic well. I'm kind of trying to stick to voices similar to my own in terms of technical approach and basic voice type.

Carl Wehden I can fully appreciate and respect that. Maybe just an analysis and break down of his style of runs from a melodic standpoint, and not necessarily a "how to sound like" vid? Dont mean to bug ya, but I really really want to hear your discerning comments on Chris Stapletons vowel shapings, compression usage, and maybe how he gets that quasi-james brown gravely howl. I only ask you because clearly your mind/ear is more accustomed to picking out all those nuances. Pls let me know! Thanks! P.S. I didnt see him in your great singer playlist?! Come now man. Hey,I got a question. What to do If my voice sounds static when singing energetic songs? My voice lacks fluidity ,but there aren't many exercises for that matter,i have no clue how to fix the issue.

consistent airflow and closure will give you a smooth flowing feel, singing success is designed to develop these skills, it takes time to learn and master though.
