great battle. Phil just had the original flow and was in the pocket. Shigekix amazing athleticism but maybe needs new character and to slow down his dance. Both dope. Of course now that phil is winning hes gonna get haters.
yeah, I disagreed with the judging until I read your comment. Shigekix needs to learn to vary the pace of his sets a bit more when he battles against "character driven" Bboys like Phil Wizard
@@That0therG Same as you man i disagree.with the judges but thinking about it shigekix need to learn new moves be creative and slow a bit his rhythm because of all his rounds he use the same moves always he just split them bettwen the rounds from toop 32 to finals soo his set always miss his moves combination as he never use the same move again If he learn new moves he can get creative and his set won't be stuck with few options of moves specially if the beat doesn't aquire them
I feel like Shigekix seems kinda burned out from battling.. He's literally been nonstop entering comps since he was like 12 years old, I don't think any bboy has been going as consistent as he has. Even the big names all have taken years where they're less active. While yes he has gotten sharper, athletic and much more fluid in his craft, I feel like he has gotten kind of stale and has hit a ceiling since his Redbull win in 2020. Hess seems to be treating this dance to much like a sport/ structured formula of sets. That creativity and soul seems lost a little. I feel like him taking a break from battling and getting back in touch with the dance would be great for his mental and dance growth.
You may have a point but I the way I see it is that he just does not have it in him tbh. He grew up in this 'competitive', sponsored era where people constantly post new power combos they hit on Instagram, with all the dancing completely out of the picture. That's why he got smoked by Flea in 2021. Everytime I see him dance he just hit freezes on single beat or does a shimmy... He's amazing at tricks, that's for sure. But as a bboy - meh.
I think that's the problem with big bboy competitions. Sometimes I feel like these guys are just going through the motions. There's no battle mentality there
On one hand, Shigekix’s stamina and athleticism are awe inspiring assets due to the genetic talent and work ethic that goes into them. On the other hand, his complete lack of soul and his unpleasant footwork (which he only does because it’s obligatory) are able to leave me depressed just by looking at it. Shigekix is arguably the best bboy in the world, but at the same time, he also kind of sucks.
Shigekix lacks the vibes from these bboys: SkeezySkee 🇯🇵 Youtee 🇯🇵 Ryu Bear 🇯🇵 Supa Soul M (Mario)🇰🇷 Cloud 🇺🇸 And non-bboys like: Kevin Paradox 🇳🇱 Baloo the Cage 🇬🇦 Skitzo 🇺🇸 D Soraki 🇯🇵 Juan Jose Markes 🇩🇴
@@mr.amaroz9058 Ik i had the same idea bro but if we look to the originality I think phil was a beast bro bcz Shig repeat a lot of combos .same freezes and moves ect ... but shig was a beast too
So funny 😂😅 Phil Wizard with the new random “worm style” bboying with no precision necessary. Just keep on wiggling around and gotta make sure you “pretend” you didn’t crash haha 😂 Phil belongs more around the “dance your style” competition instead of bboying. Worm style 😂😅
