I have no idea why people have been hard on him specifically. We all saw long faces on everyone during the last game. He’s so obviously a team player, a kind soul, and a well deserved captain. He cares about the wins which make the losses hard. I’m so proud that he’s an Eagle and we need to do everything to keep him around!
Because he's a captain and the best player on the team. He needs to speak when times are tough because admit it or not, EVERYONE will follow his lead. We are humans. We follow our leaders.

But that "leader" is now complicit with Howie to keep Smitty production down this year for contract reasons. It's a stone cold lock that he sits out all camps next year and walks after next season.
Our media over here is doing its best impersonation of the NY media. The Philly media is doing everything they can to try to make some sort of locker room drama, and it's even more embarrassing than the losses. It's just like the Knicks with Carmelo

The media needs to relax. The true fans see AJ's behavior and see nothing wrong with it. I like his passion, his intelligence, and his dedication to the game. The media just needs something to write about so they pick on AJ. He's a great talent and a great professional. We ride with AJ!

He's contractually required to and gets fined when he doesn't. Usually, it's not a big deal, but with how the city's media is, questions then rose up about AJ which were posed to other players. That's not fair to them when AJ could've addressed it from the start, that's why he's apologizing.
As a niner fan, I have to say AJB is one of my favorite players. Refreshing to see someone just be real on and off the field, and the media is using this to try and throw him under the bus. Dude is a baller man, he shouldn't have to do these stupid interviews, especially immediately after a brutal loss.
These men work HARD at their craft. They are SUPPOSED to be upset when they lose a game. They are SUPPOSED to show emotion. It MATTERS to AJ if they win or lose. It MEANS something to him. Hell, if he was laughing it up and smiling during a loss then they would say "AJ Brown doesn't care enough". As a competitor you want people on your team who GIVE A DAMN!!

I hate those who talk about him. He critiqued all the time. I love him so much, his outlook on life is beautiful and some people are lucky to even be half the person he is today.

I think it boils down to as fans we are hurt/ frustrated and we want to grasp at anything to make sense of all of this. We wanna hear from the players and not always hear the cliche answers and we know AJ works hard and would tell us truth.
If there was ever a “breaking silence to the media”… this is how you do it… he came out and was able to take accountability and defend himself and his teammates and vocalize his words. He did it the perfect way

Love this press conference! Love you AJ. Media are drama whores. And I appreciate how Sirianni takes blame for the foolish plays the players make. I don’t know if we can get out of this hole this late ..but I believe the culture of that locker room is solid and they have the ability to get this back on track.
AJ Brown you are a great guy a great player and you shouldn't have to apologize or explain but to climb the calm the climate down of the situation you did a great job I wouldn't blame you for being frustrated I'll be worried if you wasn't I played this game 25/30 years straight and I'm lucky to even be able to even walk in that 43 years old I still want to play the game I get frustrated when I can't even throw the football 20 to 60 yds regularly anymore I'm lucky if I get it 15

Sirianni said he talked to him and all of a sudden he’s out here after he’s been seen yelling at coaches on the sidelines and even when he did that before he’d still talk to the media. I think it’s very professional for him to speak like this cause it’s how everyone does because crapping on your team and coaches doesn’t help but I think we know how he and other players but I respect him coming out and doing this so they stop bothering his teammates about how he feels
AJ spoke openly and honestly, and they should respect that. The team fell down, but they will get back up again. True Eagle believers will grind and ride for the team.

I stood behind him when he declined and I stand behind him when he speaks. Eagles are and will forever be my team. Not just when they win. I always want what is best for my team. Aj is what is best for this team.
What a lot people fail to realize is this when you know your better than what your doing your not gonna feel away and I love the team especially the offense but come playoff time the players have to get it done it’s not on the coaches in the playoffs because their not on the field
The reason I despise sports media and Philly sports media in general. They create stories to get (views and clicks) because no one is buying papers these days.
