How little do you think of yourself and your environment to live like this? There is no shame in being poor, there is shame in being lazy and expecting someone else to do what you won't do yourself.
@C-LAROCK THE MAYOR Raymond Rosen Projects used to have high rises. They tore them down not too long after i was born tho so i don't remember ever seeing them
I feel you!!! I was hoping he would slow down when he passed Glenwood Drive so I could look at my Mom's house for the last time. My mom passed away December 1st 2019.
Yeah man seeing stuff like this and stuff ppl have to sometimes go through so sad I have a friend who grew up in the projects and he was so messed up physically and mentally it was sad, but now he’s doing good man and he’s changed his life it’s crazy how much he’s changed
While growing up there, you never realized how it was until you left and seen other places and went back home.NEVER the less.I still love my hometown....-We can do better Philly-
They ARE doing that, that's why it's neatly piled-up for an easy pick-up....not every community has the same garbage/sanitation systems like million dollar automatic trash can picker-upper trucks and still have municipal workers do it the ol'fashioned way paid for out of property taxes not bills to private companies run by mafia biz. like waste managment (WM) in the Bay Area Kali.
@CharlieBo313 Hey man that’s Johnson Homes projects in North Philly. I’m from that area and I seen a lot of your videos you made in Philly. Mostly in North Philly it’s fucked up there so be very careful homie. Because it goes down in that project. You should do a video in Diamond street projects which is a couple blocks away from where you at now in this video.
@@phillyrich3249 Yeah man it’s even worse down there now. That is a crazzzzzzzyyyyyy place right there. It’s definitely no place where you would want to raise your kids at. Let alone being safe yourself. Because it’s always somebody getting killed in that project in North Philly. I’m glad they made it out of there safely man.
Still the best City in the World this is just a small part of it, Philly is a unique place and everybody knows it -hating ain't fair but somebody's gotta do it.
The Williamsburg Brooklyn projects are very clean and looks like the co-ops. If you take pride and clean and plant stuff around the buildings will uplift the neighborhood.
It's sad to see Johnson home project look like that I remember back in the sixties when I would go and visit friends that live there and it was so nice I think just because they are low income housing do you really need to live like this go outside and clean your house and clean your neighbor's house and then when people say you live in the hood people get an attitude with this is what the hood looks like
Their mental and knowledge of self is lost. Remember, we were all blacks back then. Now, everybody just want to out do the other. These young ppl have no real mentors.

@@lillyana3681 you right but I still would love to come there...you'll poor but it looks like you guys have alot of love for eachother...I live in Harlem NYC
Philly's annual welfare budget for the needy is around $30. Billion. All that money goes to landlords and merchants who live on the other side of the tracks!
Hopefully with reparations, they house the illegal Mexicans and the blacks move up a level. Illegals are already in some projects. I guess it's a luxury compared to where they came from.
I'm from Philly....and I'm not disrespecting my folks but that is probably the worse housing project in the city. High crime, drugs and everything in between. Thing that gets me is if this is recent video, nobody is wearing a mask. This is the reason this pandemic is worse on our people... We have a false sense of trust in information that can save our lives.
Man y'all have to take care y'all city😭😭 The buildings are beautiful and y'all just allow it to run down. I'm from New Orleans and I don't see trash everywhere but you may see from time to time. I live in Houston now though where they don't play that at all. I have seen it here though in a few places where people don't care. Y'all infrastructure is amazing and the city is gorgeous. And btw I'm drunk typing this😂😂😂
Chanel Brown this isn’t everywhere in philly it’s the rough section of Philly and I’ve been to the NO all out East up and down chef and it’s just as dirty so who you lyin for lol shit even when I’m out that way most parts of the West Bank is like this I’m from the D and been enough places to not judge a city by a project
I love this channel. Ive lived in Philadelphia forever......born and raised. Born at Temple Hospital. But i have never been in or seen any of theae neighborhoods in Philly. No lie!😂
Is exactly born and raised North Philadelphia early sixties. I'm out here in Los Angeles Haven't been home since my sister graduated from Temple University 1989. I'm planning on coming home April of next year is this what I got to look forward to
All hoods are the same...people living in shit apartments but having nice ass expensive cars parked out front. Guess it comes down to a person's priorities.
Cars are easy to purchase. No different than anywhere else. It probably just stands out more when you're looking at a neighborhood filled with with 85 year old row houses. That aren't maintained well.
Yes- every single last resident seems to own Porsches, Mercedes, Bentleys, Aston Martins, Jaguars & Rolls Royces don't they?? What a dreadfully insightful point you make 👏
@@cee-lopreen6754 it's too tiny to look like NYC and it should look clean like bostom since Boston and Philly are similar, colonial cities, pivotal in 🇺🇸 history. Both have that old colonial look, which ypu see starting in South jersey to D.C. Philly does not resemble NYC in the least. I guess ypu are a Philly person who can't get enough of NYC and want ypur second tier city to be on a first tier level. Nope.
@Blunted206 Then vote 3rd party and throw your vote out the window because they never win nor will they ever. It's not "both parties" it's the left..always is and always will be. They are con artists and buying one mansion after another while these people you see here suffer.

Well, THANK GOD "most are staying inside"! Imagine what the area would look like if MORE people were outside! Wouldn't be able to move with all that damn trash all over the place. RIDICULOUS!

I'm from Philly ,After watching this video I no longer will look at other cities as harsh because riding around filming these very streets I've been on aren't that bad as they look.
Diffent parts of Philly the trash pick up days usually Thursdays Fridays Sundays depend on what part of the city you reside and plus coronabirus got everything shut down smh
Deut 28... wake up Israel return back to the laws and commandments of Yahuah. Repent please and wake up. The Most high sent His son Yahusha (Jesus) to die and raise again for our sins. He came to redeem Israel and those who receive him as their Lord and Savior. The bible is our history book. Our people perish for lack of knowledge. Read the word and let The Most High show you His way and he will deliver you and remove the curses from our people due to our disobedience according to deuteronomy 28....we are a nation scattered to the four corners of the earth. Its time we rise and follow the way, the truth and the life!!!!
never understood being dirty! Even when you are poor, you can be clean! I have family that is poor and they are so dirty. Even if they were rich, they would still be dirty because they are lazy in the cleaning department!
Smh, that's sad. People mentality need to be fixed. You right, you don't have to have alot of money to be clean. Living in depressed conditions will make anybody depressed. I rather have a half empty clean house than a full dirty one. I dont care if I have to sit on the floor, it will be clean. From top to bottom , from the outside on in.
A rapper from Brooklyn NY by the name of Sky Zoo made a song that reminds me of Philadelphia.....its called " Beautiful Decay " ..... I'm all for the betterment of living conditions but I will hate the day when all these row houses & projects are tore down in Philly, it will only be memories & stories to tell the youth of that generation about what a real ghetto or hood was once like.
People aren't commenting about the trash people put to the curb for pick up, they're talking about the trash thrown on the ground all over the streets and sidewalks by dirty people who live there.
Watching from Australia, I like looking in on these videos to give me an idea of what the US is like. I watched a Detroit video yesterday and now this. I can’t believe people live like this.....this is 3rd world living. Places in Asia are way better and they’re classed as 3rd world . I feel sorry for the people, new government needed, if this is Democrat you need Republican and vice versa. This is how they want you to live, it’s outrageous and not good enough.
Don't blame it on the Democrats, I keep my home CLEAN. Some people don't wanna put in the effort. Btw, the reptipublicans don't care about anybody but themselves and their $$$$. TRUTH.
Thanks for your message Sonny Roy, I seriously would give the Republicans a chance if I lived there. I’ve just looked and the Democrats have power since 1992, they treat you bad mate. It’s time for change......happy to hear you keep your place tidy. 🍻 Take care from Australia 🍻
