Sometimes as we know, tubes can pass every test you throw at them with various tube testers (emission or mutual conductance), but still acts up under an actual load.
Tubes just love to cause us trouble lol. Also, I've never seen a power cord coupling to the circuit like that before Ken. Well done again on a great looking radio
