He doesn't really fall into any category, especially those of ratings. That's when you know someone has made it, when it's nothing to do with ego, nor the dirty music business. He's a virtuoso/prophet, and those who receive him will be blessed. Those who don't realize what they have at hand miss the opportunity to get blessed.
I was at this show. I'm over by the bar. It sounded 1,000 times better in person. You can't caputure what this band does on video or a recording. You have to be there. 1Anitras is the best at this, but man it's mind blowing being there live. Nothing like Philip Sayce
Sorry about the shakiness of the video. I had to hold the camera by hand for this show. Couldn't use my monopod for steadiness because I didn't have the connector with me
This guy and his band can keep up with anyone… He should be opening for JoBo, Mayer or Gales and headlining after that… This is the guy who picked up where SRV left off.
I've seen numerous videos and I would put him up against anyone out there ... He has paid his dues and deserves arenas not the corner of a dance floor.
I don't understand why he's playing for 20 people at a freakin dive bar. He seems like a really nice guy. He's obviously one of the greatest blues guitarists alive. I'm a musician...I get it ....but I don't understand how this guy is not playing 15k seat shows... I just don't get it.
If he had the look (stage presence)...SRV or JB or even Hendrix there may have been more appeal, sadly vanity seems to be an important trait regardless of talent ie being one of the best players out there. He's at the level of Phil X, which, I believe is at least one of the top 3 out there.
I live in South Carolina and I don't think that he doesn't play no where near me at all.... man he is great and the hole band is fantastic... thank you Anitras for the videos.... it's a blessing to see someone so great 👍.... I can't wait until the day comes where I can go see Philip live.. 🙏 🙏
Oh my gawd! I can near Jimmy and Stevie mixed in with his style. Every songs a hit and he's got two great guys backing him up! Dude you blew me away ! Thank you guys for knocking my socks off! I really miss playing live. I love the e n energy you all are putting out. I'm going to finish watching then go cry in the shower! Wow! Thanks again. T..
Once again Anitras delivers! Totally underated, been following for years. Haven't even heard him on Bluesville on XM unless I missed something. This guy needs exposure!
I was there. And i texted a friend of mine the same thing (texted because we we couldn’t hear during or after the show either lol. There’s too much good stuff happening in blues guitar and across ages. The day is coming. I’d it doesn’t I don’t care because this was the best show I’ve ever been too.
Watched this to a point last night tired as hell. Got up at 5:30 to do some laundry before leaving Indy for home in Texas and resumed as soon as I woke up. New grateful disiple.
Thanks for this great concert upload 👌👍The amazing Philip sayce guitarist, experience this be blown away every song played 🔥not many these great guys around today also like Frank marino
The best I've ever seen at this style. I didn't think I'd see someone who sounded as soulful as Stevie play with the fury of a Frank Marino, but this guy is beyond Frank Marino. Which in my opinion is Sayce-ing something. Grew up around a fellow named Johnny Tsakanikas, who would be the guy to play the Marino and the Van Halen. Johnny was world class but this dude is out of this world. Even Johnny never sounded like this. You could find him to verify, he's on youtube as Johnny Rushmore.
I am listening to Philip Sayce every night now, his music is the healing of the nations. Take care of him and I don't like too many air flights or too much bad drugs. You don't need to follow them, just do your own thing and live.❤❤❤❤
We have a screenplay which we will one day make into a movie. We would love Philip Sayce to play the part of a rock n roll musician, Vietnam draft dodger hiding out in Jamaica in 1969- 71 ☮️🌹💖🙏🎥
So I found this channel because she has an awesome Eric Gales and Joe Bonamassa on a cruise tour oh the song the ballad of John Henry!! i’ve seen other peoples recordings and this Anita‘s dance is the best clarity and sound. I’ve been watching it numerous times. Loud!!! In the summer it’s my neighbors favorite too on a high-end home audio system no not Alexa or other crap straight up high and audio Rotel and B&W speakers! You’re literally at the show with this system yes it’s gonna cost you $5000 or more. All British matched can’t compare to anything!
Had a amazing time watching Philip Sayce!! It was better than I thought it would be and I had high expectations to begin with!! Court Grill was also awesome great staff and people!! Glad we made the drive from Tennessee it was so worth it!!
Such a great singer/guitar player .. I can't wait to see him live in Montreal (Quebec) Canada in september .. one of my favorite parts soloing by Philip at 43:16 .. looks so easy !
Fantastic player.... truly. I say this with respect... the key to the big door in music is to be different, but incredibly strong. The first part is the toughest... rarely reached.
