I think it is pretty much all in the details now. Extra couple of guys on the crew today, but it is mostly "little" things - just a massive amount of them.
I think I have a solution to your dirty kitchen window ??? If you install sliders only half can be opened !!! However if you install bifold window they open right up

If the flooring gap was the fault of the Painter filling that void the contractor is at fault for lack of supervision and not noticing right away ? A day or two worth of labor is 500 Pesos in wages per day? I guess thats on the contractors dime? Let'sLet's hope that your family is all moved in way before Christmas Holidays, I guess it has been a long slog🤔
It is on the contractor's money. It has been a long process - longer than we expected - but I guess that is the price you pay for having something fairly large - sure hope it is well before Christmas.
Hi Mike You need to remove all them spacers around the wood floors because it's not a air gap it's an expansion gap.thats why the floor is lifting ,it's not trapped air hope this helps
In a previous vlog you talked about setting up your smart switches and outlets. Why can’t your builder power up just one circuit at a time and you can set up the switches and outlets on each circuit even before the whole house is inspected and turned on? That will also let you test each circuit, and even your A/C. Better to test before you finish out the house.
Tht shot you have of the door and the floor - I can see where the door scratched the floor when the floor was bucked……will your builder address that? Best to check ALL the floors that buckled to make sure the doors haven’t scratched then floors.
The enduring theme seems to be a lack of forethought. Forgive my negativity, but after just 1 x 57 metre wall, ignoring my instructions to separate rebar from soil, and a total inability to foresee issues is already putting me on edge. the crew is about to be overhauled, as in "if you don't follow my instructions you are fired".
Jess Ouch, not a great start to your build. A friend is adding a new building to his house not far from us, and has had all sorts of issues with the crew. The only suggestion is what you know already - a good foreman seems to make a world of difference. If you can find someone with experience, it may help.
