What is an eSim and how does it work? In today’s video I share with you a quick travel tip & hack of how you can get a local roaming without the need of physical sim card. You can set it up and activate before you travel to your destination, or on arrival, all you need is internet / WIFI to set it up. This method will also let you use both / two sim cards at once, one from your home country and one from the place you are travelling to.

This is very helpful. I have a iPhone 13 mine(dual sim) and plan to use it instead of my old iPhone 10 that I used to bring and just keep 2 phones with me and a separate sims one from USA and one that I purchase in PHL when I land. I will install this eSim prior to my trip. Thanks

I’ve been to the Philippines once and I have a globe Sim card but now since they make you register it, it’s impossible to get a code sent to your phone when you’re no longer in the Philippines so this looks like a good option for my next trip

I can’t even get a QR code and I’m in the Philippines. I wasted my money on BNE. And I did not even 6:26 get the same option to click on “Install on this device “. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello. I live in US. If I visit Philippines, I wouldnt be able to register sim cards bec I dont have Philippine ID. If I download Airalo or Halofly or Maya before leaving US, will I have data in Philippines after arriving without the need to register the esim? Can I continue to buy additional data while I'm in Philippines? Thanks

You need to upgrade it to postpaid Plan before you can use e-sim. Not available for prepaid sim to converted to e-sim.

But if you uses a Smart prepaid SIM just like what we used here local residence in Philippines you can save more money because mobile data would be cheaper. We have unlimited data for 499 pesos around 9 USD valid for 1 month but unfortunately this is for select SIM card only especially for those being a Smart user for a decent period the good news is Smart has also a unlimited data 5G promo for all their subscribers for 599 pesos only around 10.81 USD valid for 1 month the only requirement is you must be stay connected to 5G network at all the time because if you will be disconnected to 5G you cannot enjoy the unlimited data you will only consume your I think 20GB allowance for non 5G connection like 4G LTE or below and after that you can't access to the internet anymore if you consumed all your 20GB and you must connect to a 5G network to enjoy your 5G unlimited data again.

No calls and texts. Uses Singapore IP ADDRESS in Asia but data only.

I have been very happy with this service provider. In both hotels where I stayed in Coron, I had not been able to work using their wifi (it was just too slow) but I was able to work using a hotspot on my phone, using data from this sim. And the signal has been generally very good on all the islands. So I have been really happy with it!

You can download the BNE eSim App from the app store or I also left a link to it in the description. Once you have the app on your phone you can follow the steps in the video to activate it.

Your US number can be active at the same time while using this eSim. I’ve been using my UK number whenever I need to pick up or make work calls from the UK, and at the same time, I've been using data from this eSim. Just make sure mobile data is turned on for the eSim and not for your primary US number.
