This trip really opened my mind to how some people live! Huge respect for this friendly community! I didn't realise how much nervous laughter I had until I was editing! This was a place that really did surprise me and I think that came through in how I reacted to everything I saw! But laughter seemed to break down a lot of the cultural and language barriers we had, and I was so happy with how it turned out.
Isolation is an advantage to the community. No greedy developers will be interested to push them away, free from material envy, culture will be preserve, absolute happiness is always on their faces no matter how hard life is. I never thought of community isolation as an obstacle to improve quality of life. Because there is nothing to improve. They have not to pay a gym to keep in shape, food are all organic fresh air, and many more advantages..... 😎
@@michaelamontemayor448 that is exactly the dilemma I was thinking about while I was there. Isolation, quality of life, development... How do we balance it best?
@@KumanderDaot good for you. Stay as long as you please. Go home with a flat belly 😂😂😂 that's how I stay fit, away from civilization and it costs nothing, instead I feed the community. I miss doing that.
Beautiful drone shots. Always enjoyable content. To have water. The things we take for granted in the UK. Hard hike. But well worth the journey. What a great experience for you. David is lovely. And all the people you met. Lovely video. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week. Take care.
I like these kind of travel vlogs. Not doing it to earn but to really understand and show the culture of the tribe. I love how passionate you are to show us this culture that we dont really get to see everyday. I mean we heard and read about T'boli tribe in news and magazine but not as raw and intimate as this. Not all foreigners and media get to feature the real life of these people from Mindanao. This is to change the perception of other people and Filipinos about Mindanao. We dont really live in war here. We have this beautiful life and culture. Thank you Kumander for sharing it with us. Thank you for your passion and dedication.
Kumander, you really set yourself apart from the other vloggers. Your videos are very entertaining as well as educational. Giving us just a small peek on how the T'boli tribe lives and how they live very simply makes me reflect at my own life and changes that I must do to live better. Thanks for an awesome video!
Good job Kumander Daot! I cried about all the kids eating arroz caldo but at the same time happy of what you have contributed. “Never take anything for granted!” Love your video! God bless you always! Watching with love ❤️ from TorontoCanada! 🙏🇨🇦
5:34 The view is breathtaking. It looks like an oil painting. So many hues of green. Superb drone shots. I could look at it forever. I am torn between wishing the T'boli culture can be preserved and wishing an industry can be started to improve their way of life but I know I am seeing them through my North America-raised privileged life. I have a lot of respect for people like David who comes to see them without a hidden agenda.
I agree with you - there is a balance between preserving the culture and economic development, when I speak to the people they just wish it was easier to sell their produce and that they had a school 🙂
Dynamic duo in action! KD- daot Batman and David- daot Robin. Great series, just like watching Nat-geo. Great to see the smiles on kids faces. Keep going KD, you have a commanding voice ala (Attenborough), good background music as well.
Another heartwarming, thoughtful and entertaining vlog from one of my favorite vloggers. You are so down-to-earth, and the simplicity and goodness in you always exudes in your every vlog, Anselm. The mist enveloping the mountain is indeed a blessing as it is good for the vegetation. The solar light saved the day (actually, evening) for that communal dinner. Kudos to you and David. What a fantastic idea!
Kumander. I look so forward to your new vlogs in the mountains with the people. As I and few others have said. You have found your way in life with the people if the mountains. They bring you energy and smiles you deserve in your travels.
Enjoyed this immensely.Your sensibility, embracing nature and culture and life and not very shock with culture as they present themselves, is refreshing.Thank you David, you are legend.Be safe always.
Impressed and inspired by your way of sharing the deep truths that people need to understand and appreciate in life. Caring is sharing and living is laughing. Being happy in the most simple things of being human, there is still hope in humanity. Thank you Anselm "Daot" for being the kumander i follow and like.
I’m obsessed (in a healthy way 😂) with your unique community vlogs. You’re doing excellent in showcasing these amazing places, beautiful people and natural lifestyle. So refreshing to the eyes.
Your love to travel, meet people and experience diverse culture here in the Philippines brought flavor to your contents. I love how you present your vlog like a documentary yet enjoyable to watch. Keep safe always KD.
Appreciate you showing us the very remote side of the mountain. The truth is we can see that they are less fortunate but their beautiful smiles will always welcome you. Drone shots are amazing. 😊
You have outdone yourself again KD. Sharing this amazing experiences of yours The T’boli culture the way they live and they way their culture survive is beyond imagination. They don’t have much but they are happy and very friendly people. Keep up the good work KD. You are the ears and eyes of indigenous peoples.
I really enjoy your videos.what sets them apart from most it the significant storyline you include. Your narration is also a distinguishing characteristic that sets you apart. Keep it up and take care.
Please see this note, and here this......THIS IS YOUR GREATEST RAW PEICE YET.....You just made me a part of this spiritual jurney.........WOW......Amazing, wish i were there with you.....Please keep going. May God bless you.

I love the way you immerse yourself to the local Hunter tribe and the humanity of sharing food as one big family was amazing. I'm so happy to see you doing the things you love most. Keep up the great work, God bless you and your large extended familia. Thanks for educating the us with your little documentaries Kumander and stay safe.
Mr. David is so funny. This video is such an eye opener. How the most basic arrozcaldo can bring smiles to those children. I hope people in the government will take notice of their situation. build good roads so that they can trade their products easily. And have access to basic things.
Kumander, I'm very proud of you promoting our indigenous people culture and tradition. You have penetrated localities where we ourselves Filipinos could not imagine where we are. Because of you and David, more local and foreign tourist would likely be after your path after this pandemic. I salute you. Don't forget to stay safe and healthy 💪 God bless 🙏
Anselm your video coverage of these tribal folk is really great , they are the real Philippine people still living in there traditional ways thank them for allowing you to film and show there life in the mountains and valleys . :-)
It's really an eye opener, seeing this communities through your exploits, watching your vlogs, really opens up, new way of thinking, resilience is ingrained to this people. Time and time again between you and Kyle have seen, the less they have the more accommodating they get. You mentioned, just by going there took hours, I could not imagine some houses with tin roof, and some with concrete side, what it took them to get it up there. power on cheers.
Great Video Kumander. It shows us the things that most people take for granted means a lot to other people. A simple Arroz Caldo can bring smiles to a lot of children, very very wonderful vlog.
whoaahhh i am really so stunned with the view I am looking at…it’s like the view in my hometown..thank you KD. such a beautiful and meaningful journey to this village.

Been watching you for a while from the very first blog… one that I notice… those smiles that you wear every time you hike and go to places in the mountain… not in you face but those smiles in your eyes, similar to that smile and excitement you see in a child…. Thanks for this blog kumander daot
What you are doing is a community immersion which is part of our community studies in my high school and University days. I miss those days. It's very fulfilling and satisfying to the soul.
Kumander Daot thank you for loving our Filipino brothers and sisters that are even in the remotest places of our country. You are a real ambassador of goodwill to these tribes. May God continue to bless you in your mission.
Such an amazing experience, a true honor to be able to do something like that. Thank you for sharing this journey with us!! I loved the ending seeing the kids eating 😇
We have a lot to be thankful for. These children are very happy despite lack of resources and access to electricity , technology etc , that we often take for granted .
nice to see these type of content I haven't seen in other vloggers b4. Such a beautiful place. It seems like life is hard there but they have riches natural riches that city dwellers like me have always envied.
20-30 years from now, some of these kids would be meeting each other to talk about remembering Uncle White kind tourist, who fed us arroz caldo. How very nice of you KD! We love you too!
Great stuff Kumandar Wally....a fascinating insight into a off the beaten track village with David yr guide . The less U feed yr face...the more interesting yr stories become....there's a moral there ...but well done ...from a veteran of seventies Hindustan campaigns...brilliant story today. 👍🏴🦘
I like watching this type of Vlog , showing different aspects of filipinos day to day life in the country side .” A breath of fresh air “ .Coz I’ve noticed some local vloggers nowadays are focusing more on prank/ poverty porn ..way to go KD !

Another interesting vlog from Kumander Daot featuring the simple Filipinos lives in one remote area in Mindanao- Thank you for filming it for us viewers .
That was very awesome and educational too. Love the views what a beautiful place so quiet and peaceful. I know some people that could do with a week there so they relax and appreciate what they have. I think the long hike to get there would do me in but would be worth it haha.
Yea that was very nice of you to invite the children of the village to a meal. You are a lucky person to live in such a beautiful place among so many friends.😁😊
This place looks so beautiful and the people seem shy but so inviting and generous with what they have. I would love too visit there or a place similar. Thanks for sharing.
You have such an extraordinary experience that most Filipinos have not experienced and will never experience in their lifetime, especially the Filipinos like me who live in the US and in some other parts of the world permanently. I'm sure you will never forget this experience as long as you live. Thank you for your vlog and you made us feel somehow how to be with the Tibolis, what their way of life is, and how beautiful their place is.
