What are you talking about? Tab didn't give a winning game to gilas when he was the mentor. Remember the previous FIBA game w/ Italy when gilas went scoreless in almost the entire 1st quarter and heavily beaten at the end. At least w/ chot he was able to break the curse on gilas of being winless at FIBA for the last 10 years (since 2014) as well as finally beating powerhouse China after 10 years since (2013). Also gilas finally get a chance and qualified to participate in OQT (Olympic qualifying tournament) for next year's Paris Olympics. Also Gilas ranking upped to 24th position from the bottom winless 32th spot.

@@melchoralfelor you casual o what?? gilas won silver medal under coach tab way back 2015 with a scrappy roster could've won gold if not on the bad officiating. Not to mention the 2015 gold medal SEA games and 2015 jones cup. Tab was the right coach for the national team, players willing to play on his system until chot took over. No shot on chot but his system is not effective in this today's basketball meta

If we keep the same young core of this team (Edu, Sotto, Abando, and Ramos) plus the others who didn't make the Cut we could have a Stronger team no matter who's the coach is. I believe having a Same core of players can be successful. Look at Japan they have change their coach three times but their Core players are the same.

That type of argument is quite shaky. Some Asian teams already had tall players. As basketball continues to evolve, the basketball seems to be not just simply a game of height. When it comes to height, there are no huge differences if you look closely. That excuse you generate is only for the ones who always play ISO, lack ball movement, and lack in training.
