Thanks for the video, very useful! I was cleaning the inside component once a month, but from the video i learned that i should do it on a weekly basis. But what is different in my manual, it tells me to lubricate the machine every two months. You should check this, because if you use the tablets every month you should lubricate more often then 6 months. I have a Phillips 1200 series. Thanks again, wish you all the best.
Thanks for the video- I have this same machine and my Frother is not frothing. I did the CalcClean reccomended in the manual, cleaned full system but milk is coming out flat, no froth. Any guidance in how to solve? Thank you 🙏🏽
Hey! I have a question or I should like to request that you contribute to show us how you do the calc and clean, I do it now the first time, but I'm a little bit unsettled, So can you do it? :)
Hi I've just bought this machine and I'm using espresso not the beans. It made one espresso OK then the next ones have all been weak or just water. Am I doing something wrong. Any help much appreciated 😁
Nice one, man! I am using EP2220. Do you know why the pre-ground coffee doesn't brew? Just getting water all the time. Finished decal and cleaning. All else works except grounds. Appreciate your answer!
Hello My espresso machine displays all 3 LEDs on the right. I cleaned, decalcified and greased the espresso machine, but I still haven't solved the problem. The filter is barely changed. What do you suggest I do?
You have explained where the cleaning tablets go. No other instructions have done that and I have been looking! Thank you! Question: where is the filter that you will need to change? I see just a little white thing in the water holder. Is that the filter that you would change out? Thanks.
Thanks for the video. Question after inserting the oil removing turning the machine back on and brewing several cups to rinse the machine the water is still not coming out clear… does anyone have this problem?
Hi, thanks for the video, I am facing a problem… coffee is not coming out anymore! I cleaned it totally but suddenly it stopped pouring coffee but hot water is ok… any idea?
You probably solved it by now. But its probably a red O-ring inside the machine that is broken. Happened twice for me. Take out the brewing group and check inside. There is a nozzle screwed in with two size 10 hexagon socket if i remember correctly. Take out the nozzle and check the middle red O-ring. It's size 9x2mm in size. Try change it and lubricate the oring.
Th grinder doesnt get cleaned, as the tablet goes into the tamper and basket only, the beans are still sitting in the grinder...this doesnt make sense, how does the actual burr/ceramic grinder actually get cleaned then? it only cleans the basket and tamper.
Hello, Very interesting video! Thank you very much! When we put the aquaclean capsule, it floats and does not hold in the bottom despite having let the bubbles come out as much as possible. How do we make the cartridge stay in the bottom? Thank you beforehand.
I just buy this machine today. So for the first time using this machine . 1. The manual tells me to fill the water tank to the maximum level and turn on the machine. After i turn on the machine, it rinse the system quite a few water not many droplet and take about 10 second. Is this normal ? 2 . Is your brew group has a dificulty about removing , I push the yellow leaver but it take some time for unlock the brew unit . Thanks in advance .
Sorry to bother you again . I use my machine for a month and I have some issue about the coffee flow from dispensing spout as you can see the coffee flow from left side of the spout not center . (drive.google.com/file/d/12sebpop9F2sFcYdQF2x3nClHkYQ9NjF7/view?usp=drivesdk) But I don’t know that you have this issue or not.
Hi John, nice videos and very thoughtfull of you helping others... I just received my EP 2221/40... I maded like 10 espresso with setting1 on the grinder, at lowest temperature setting from custom settings, but still it seems that i don't get that foam (cream) that it's shown on many videos that I've watched... What could be the cause?! It's about the coffee?! I use Julius Meinl Prasident for automatic machines.... I just don't get it... How could I get the most crema from my coffee?!
I realized that old coffee doesn't produce good crema... Try a different bean and see if that does it... Also, how does the coffee taste when you make it?
@@JohnJacob the beans i'm using right now are from 05.20... and the taste is fine, it has a good aroma.... Maybe i'm too picky about it... Thx 4 answering and hope to see more of your content!
Try setting the machine to grind setting #2 and see if that helps. If it doesn't help then it's the beans... It's possible that grind setting #1 is too fine of a grind that you're machine is struggling to push water through the coffee Puck... I had another person on one of my other videos that had that issue and the changed it to #2 and it worked. I hope this helps!
@@JohnJacob Funny thing is that the machine isn'y struggling to push the water, the flow of the brewed coffee is ok and constant... maybe later, when i'll change the coffee beans it'll surprise me with the outcoming crema.... I also checked the residual puck and it's firm and not broken when it's dumped in the recipient.... After all, i'm happy with the machine and can't wait to dial in more coffee types and tastes...
That's awesome... I have a coffee subscription and I get a different bag of coffee every 2 weeks from around the country... It's called drinktrade.Com it works here in the US.
Can you make an update on how your machine is still working with filtered water I just got this machine and want to know how long it will last if I use filtered water since the instructions says not to lol and I have well water other wise 😂and I’m sure that’s also not what the machine is looking for as in certain toxins to filter 😩since I gathered it’s looking to filter out certain chemicals in tap from the city 🤷🏽♀️
Hi John, my steam suddenly started coming out rather 'aggressively' - mostly making large bubbles causing the milk to bubble out. It also makes a 'glup glup' sound. I've cleaned the hell out of the steam wand, run a ton of hot water through the nozzle, tried with no filter, descailed it (I've only made about 50 lattes on it). Any ideas? basically it's just a good expresso maker now.
Same happened to me as well... Just after 2 weeks of using the machine, I bought mine a month ago!! I already requested return which sucks because I really like the machine and now I have to ship it back.. I checked everything, tried also hot water, steamed without any milk or water and then tried with milk and didn't work.. This is the only reason I got this machine
@@millanmixy I fixed it! Now this is going to seem stupid but make sure the black plastic insert is sticking out just far enough in the wand so that there are two little tabs that seem to 'lock' it there. That completely fixed my issue. Philips was worthless - they had no idea how to fix this simple problem. Give that a shot and let me know if that worked for you. I send a pic if that's not clear.
@@adisharr I'm not quite sure what you are talking about.. But there is a small, very small "dot" on the metal steam wand and you can't really see it until you look for it, it's on the upper side.. It was clogged with milk, now it's clean and it's working as good as it was before I think :D
@@millanmixy Hey Milan, I was talking about the hard black plastic piece that is inserted into the metal steam wand (it usually stays in there). That was too far back.
You can use it and do the same maintenance that you do with any other automatic coffee machine. This machine just allows to perform more maintenence that will help the machine lasts longer and makes good coffee, even after making lots of coffee.
