Thank you for your video, your overview and hints were very helpful. I just got this machine and really like it so far. Just wanted to confirm that the adjustment for the grinder is smaller circle = larger size coffee ground and larger circle = smaller size coffee ground?

correct.

THANK YOU. the review is excellent and useful , I have just bought the machine and ı really lıke this particular version with the wand since it allows me to heat the milk as ı want. the machine makes relatively hot coffee but not really hot that is why using the want is important to me in order to customize the heat

Hey man nice review. I just bought this machine and I’ve also heard about avoid using dark roast beans cause they’re oily and might ruin super automatic machines. I have some dark and oily beans from Indonesia that I really like and I also have a grinder so the question is, do you think I can grind my dark roasted beans and use the pre ground compartment to prepare coffee without ruining the machine? Or better to stick with espresso beans.
@MaciejPiotrowski
@MaciejPiotrowski Год назад
I think if you grind it and use compartment for ground coffee you should be fine but it's up to you. Remember that all that oily coffee has to be pushed through tubing to be dispensed so I'm not not sure how this might affect tubing.

That is a very good and thorough review. Thank you. My question is: if you froth milk first and then make an expresso, will that release the pressure in the boiler? Or do you need to release the pressure first? I may have misunderstood that part. It seems that if you make coffee or espresso after steaming, the boiler pressure will be released.
@MaciejPiotrowski
@MaciejPiotrowski Месяц назад
That is a good observation. I always release pressure from the wand before making espresso. There is separate hose connected to the wand that has a seals. On my old Saeco machine, I was frothing the milk and not releasing the pressure for many years and making espresso just as you suggest and after few years there was water dripping from the wand indicating blown seals. When you froth milk there must be more pressure buildup in the tank to create the steam. When you make espresso you dont use steam to brew a coffee but hot water. To prolong the life of this machine, and from my previous observation I release the pressure and recommend doing the same. It's only my recommendation. It is not a written in the manual to do that, but of course why would Philips tell you about ? Hope this helps, and thank you for your comments.

is it possible in these machine to adjust the level of espresso ( short,middle,long) and is it enough hot coffee ?

Hello Maciej, i also have the same machine purchased back in Jul'23. I am actually trying to make the grind go as fine as possible. Even though i am at the smallest grit size on the adjustor, i find the grit size still too big. What is your experience like?
@MaciejPiotrowski
@MaciejPiotrowski 6 месяцев назад
Mine is pretty good but if you want more fine grind you can always grind it yourself and dup it into the front compartment. Remember that your grinder can get stuck if you dump there too fine grinded coffee thats why you have additional front compartment for that. Hope this helps.

This is the best review for this machine I’ve seen.I found the information very helpful and some preventative information,which will help extending the machine’s life.I learned that is important to release pressure by pressing the hot water button after steaming so it doesn’t damage the seals.Also I always use dark roast because I thought gives you the best flavor.Learning that it’s the most oily and will clog machine faster I will be switching to light or medium.Thanks for the in depth review!❤

Hello sir. Thank you for the very useful video. Would it be possible to please load a video of the best way to use the steam wand on this machine, primarily for flat white. I need to be clear on angles, wand position, jug size for 1 standard cup, etc. Most other videos show other kinds of wands which are not relevant for this machine.
@MaciejPiotrowski
@MaciejPiotrowski 9 месяцев назад
Thank you for your comment, but it sounds you are much better expert in steaming milk. I just do it so it's warm. Every person will tell you their own tricks of making the best flat white. Mostly I enjoy just black coffee so I am not expert on flat white.

Just bought this machine. Thanks for sharing. I follow the instructions and used 2 measuring spoon of grounded coffee, but the coffee comes out very light😮 Can anyone tell me why the coffee is so light even I put the intensity to highest?

I own it. A STRONG pass. Save your pennies and buy a JURA for example, at not less than $1150.00 USD. Opinion - my own. Amen! Do NOT use oily coffee as Maciej Pitrowski says. NO shiny, oily beans. Also, per the reseller do NOT use whatsoever, the filter unit if your home water supply is highly filtered reverse osmosis, type water. (As mine is.)

@Allan-et5ig 14 дней назад
@@quaherway2941 Ah, nothing. As I said, if you RO water (AS DO I) you see I wrote this? I merely said the reseller Seattle Coffee told me not use the included filter. Nothing about the water.

You are looking for crema right? In my opinion, his coffee looks good. It looks like a light roast so less cream.
@searex2268
@searex2268 Год назад
No offense but if the coffee look dry like that, i throw them in the trash can, it's garbage, I dont want too much acidic coffee in my coffee cup, and prefer the bitter taste as well, but each of their own. Roasting coffee is another art , its generate many different type of coffee and flavor, that's why some company create better coffee than the others
@mariozamora9684
@mariozamora9684 7 месяцев назад
I respect your opinion; however, we can’t determine whether the flavor is good or not. Crema does not necessarily equate to better taste. It depends on personal preference. I have a medium-roasted specialty-grade coffee that looks dry, but its taste is amazing according to my family and visitors.
