I remember having an old Philips TV that had 2 large speakers at the front side of it when I was a toddler. The remote colour reminded me of that TV, good times
Apparently Philips and more so Panasonic make really good OLED tv’s but they don’t get anywhere near the recognition that the leading brands have it’s a shame really. Because the less popular brands in the tv's world are cutting edges and still asking for a big money almost if not the same as the big brands. For example: The lack of 4K/120FPS for 4 HDMI port and not only 2 of them. Philips and TCL are doing a good job but they still need to "grow up" and stop cutting edges.

I can't wait to see and hear your thoughts on this TV. I've been looking for a TV that can handle a variety of content from Standard definition Free view, all the way up to native 4k 120hz gaming from a gaming PC. I visited an electrical retailer that had a TV licence the other week to compare them and whilst I was in awe of the LG c2's 4k hdr picture, Freeview looked softer (almost like a painting) and worse than similarly sized Sony and Philips models.
Wicked my mom had one of these when they 1st started to do these with the lights on them. And I said nah them tvs are not that good? Soon as I seen the lights and was playing my playstation on it, and watching films with them lights I thought sick TV 💯👌👍👍
@robmullan4395 why would I go to the hassle of hiding the wires away, to then rip it all out again in a few days time when I test another TV? You do know these TVs are just used for testing and are not my personal TVs?
Awesome, Paul. I have not had a Philips Ambilight since 2008. Love that remote. LG needs to take note & upgrade their plastic remotes for a brand new premium design. Anyways, Paul. Hi mate. Yeah that's one area where LG could up their game a bit, the cheap looking remote. Didn't pick up the game, and still not watched the show. Just been really busy.
