Thanks for this vid...Now I know why my Aquatec screwed up after 2 years... All leading to prematurely burning out of the battery due to first the sticking switch and then getting crust build up on the lower components, just like on yours (also I noticed a slightly burned capacitor on the flip side of the board as well) - all due to calcification and corrosion on the componentry from all the water traveling through and down that flimsily designed shell (My motor was starting to rust a bit too)! No more Aquawrecks for me, mate! Therefore, I decided to get a completely different designed model Philips/Norelco wet/dry unit now... I'll see how long this one lasts! Fortunately this time, I purchased a retailer warranty and registered the receipt...
Hey I've got the same shaver but the motor wont turn the mechanisms past a quarter turn. Any idea what the problem could be? Everything else is working fine and the motor and battery still work but the motor will turn the mechanisms then stop after a quarter turn...
@@m3sca1 I've cleaned everything and flicked out as much stuff as possible. I haven't taken the pcb out but i think ill have to do that to get to the motor. I can physically turn the mechanisms myself, but not past a point without forcing them massively.
@@warwickbirkett8908 you can see how the little cam moves the trimmer blades back and forwards. If the housing is off and the trimmer is not physically connected...then most likely the motor is sized. Got your reciept?
@@m3sca1 5 years old so obviously out of warranty, as well as not knowing where the receipt is leads me to having to buy another one... ah well, it did ok for that amount of time. Thanks for the help and the informative video.
I have the same model I was cleaning in side the trimmer head and the blades came apart now I can't find the correct way to.put them back can you help... It's the pop-up trimmer blade
@@TryNewThingsSL the small blade is the one the oscillates and the large one is the fixed one. The 2 faces of the blades will show wear marks that will help you identify them as the 2 faces that rub together. Then you only have 2 options how it would install. Hope that helps

@@eirfankhan98 if the screws are scratched up, paint it over with a black texta and try for a warranty replacement. It is not old enough to have failed by corrosion. Mayne the battery is bad. What does the voltage read on the battery?
@@eirfankhan98 the battery voltage should be 3.2 or something close to that value. If it is lower than that, check the voltage from the charger on another lithium cell. Do you have another Lithion ion cell you can test the charger on ?
