Interesting fact about Tetris CD-i's soundtrack: Jim Andron actually released the original master tracks onto his soundcloud (with the exception of one track due it being missing). The sound quality on them is really good (as one would expect), but more interestingly... I've noticed that some of the songs seem to be played at a slightly lower speed compared to how they usually sound in-game. Which could mean that when the songs got compressed on the disc, the tuning on some tracks were severely affected by it. Making the key sound a bit higher than it's supposed to.

fun fact, the guy in Voyeur is played by Robert Culp, a pretty big TV actor from the 60s/70s who's better known to gamers as Dr. Breen from Half Life 2 :^]

It looks like they spent some serious money on that puppet (also voiced by Cam Clarke) for Zombie Dinos From Planet Zeltoid. Blinking, articulated eyebrows, excellent material and construction. Someone cared. No idea why, but they did.

This was announced a few hours ago, but there is going to be an indie game inspired by the CD-I Zelda games. Including the cutscenes!

I used to like Chaos Control and even now I don't find it to be bad. Though I am familiar with the MS-DOS version. It has two difficulties: "cakewalk" and "you won't beat the city level". I recommend spending an evening with this simple thing - it is enjoyable.

I always found the CD-i an interesting console that got overshadowed by “those games”, and it’s understandable why. But it unfortunately left very little documentation of the console’s library. I’ve always had a weird interest in games on failed consoles to try and find hidden gems.

I did enjoy this one. As much as it was a "console video", you did a good job making it all fit together, and even if several of these games I haven't heard from before, I know for sure that I'll identify them as CD-i games now. Solid work Stu

The Philips CD-i definitely wasn't a failure, and the games were probably an attempt to cap off their sales with a family market. It was used in company training programs, and like you said, museum tours and such. If I had to guess, it was meant as a multimedia company resource that turned into a game console last minute for extra sales.
