@@datom844 and we can also say, matchline say what it is. it's "matching" a "line" of devices, from a design point of view. meaning there's also a TV and probabely other stuff like an amplifier, speakers, that make a coherent and nice looking set.
Hello. I seek your advice please, in a matter regarding a Philips Matchline. I recently acquired a unit, but when I plug it in, it starts beeping continuously, the display on the right side is on continuously and the left side display is off. The beeping sound appear to be emitted near the power transformer. Where should I start to investigate? What do you think is the first thing to start with? Thanks in advance.
is that also a 2350? The beeping is from the speaker at the controlpanel. the vr 2350 is beeping when a voltage is missing, mine had this too. check the fuses and the connection to the transistor and diod thats placed on the backside of the machine on the large cooling bracket.
@@datom844 Hi again. As I said, I'll keep you posted :) I manage to find another 2350 thinking I could make one good machine from 2 broken ones. I’m stuck. The machine I wrote you earlier is a 2350 but, on the label, said 2350/01. The second one is 2350/10. On the outside they are identical. On the inside, the mechanical part seems more or less identical but electronics is totally different, like some connectors and boards are missing. Now, the second machine has a different problem: the capstan motor blocks after a few seconds after starting. The pinch roller is worn-out on a side, like it was stuck and the capstan motor worn it. I tried a tape but it broke the tape in an instant. If you have an advice, would be much appreciated. Thanks!
