Pete Rose is a significant part of the history of the franchise. I’ve lived and died with the Phillies since ‘74

My Dad took me to my first Phillies game in 1963. Paraphrasing Billy Crystal, in "City Slickers," My dad held my hand as we walked through the tunnel to our box seats along the 3rd base side. It was like entering a cathedral. I never saw grass that green. Johnny Callison hit one out. My best childhood memory.

This is the best Phillies Documentary I have ever seen. I love how it details about the Baker Bowl.

I grew up in this awesome place in 1967. The late Harry the K has given a final narration that makes me homesick as I see this.

Where was Pete Rose? He may have only been there five years but in my mind he was one of the great team leaders. In my opinion they would not have won in 1980 without him there.

The 1980 national league championship series doesn't get talked about much cause that series had more drama plus 4 extra innings games more like a Hollywood thriller

How could they not show Bowa’s steal in game one of the World Series to ignite the offense? Or Del Unser’s double scoring Schmidt from first to tie game 5? This video glossed over too many important, big plays.

To this day, I truly believe that if Greg Luzinski had acted like he actually caught the ball (1:09 not trapped against the wall), the umpires would have declared the batter out. Even watching the replay today, in slow motion, it looks like he did catch the ball. What do all you think?

They skipped over the passing of Rich Ashburn

Watching here, game three of the NLCS in Philadelphia, against the Dodgers in '77, and Burt Hooten of the Dodgers, (starter) walking in three consecutive runs early, they show only two of the twelve balls thrown (and called by Harry Wendelstedt). The first one they show, is a great screwball, or back door cutter, that was definitely a strike, and of course called a ball. The second pitch shown of the twelve balls to the three consecutive batters was obviously low, and a legit ball. But, I remember that game, and Wendelstadt was stroking Hooten after awhile, which isn't right. I understand the thinking of an umpire when a pitcher blatantly disrespects him, for a pitch here or there, that's not called a strike, when it probably should have been. But to punish the pitcher, by intentionally not calling pitches that are obvious strikes, especially in the playoffs, isn't proper, nor be allowed by major league baseball, Hooten had every right to express his displeasure, during those three consecutive walks, as without exaggeration, five were dead strikes of those twelve pitches.
