I was there! Traveled with some friends for the series and we had a blast. There was so much red in that stadium all week. Just goes to show that we have the best fans in baseball.
I was there for all three games as well...and you're right, there was a lot of red at Comerica...just as many Phillies fans as there were Tigers fans...several people working there commented to me about how many Phillies fans were in attendance...
The pitching is second to none. When JT is back and if the Phillies hitters don't chase, man, how do you get them out. Imagine if we add a quality outfielder. My heart be still.
Agreed. Turnbull has thrown much better than Walker this year. Hope Turnbull's shoulder is OK. And please don't turn Walker into a relief pitcher. Let him throw batting practice.
I really hope Turnbull is ok, but the idea of relying on him as a starter just because the Phillies had to keep Walker and his contract on the mound is crazy for an organization with WS aspirations. We should have carefully used Turnbull as a reliever, given his history with injuries, instead we ended up creating this situation where Walker was given every opportunity to fail while Spencer and his talent ended up paying the price. Talking about a guy who even had the guts to wonder why he was nowhere to be seen in the 2023 post season.
