My great grandfather was in maintenance company of 66th Armored regiment part of 2nd Armored division. Researching to get the right info has been difficult these mens story deserve to be told.
My father was one of the original cadre of the 2d Armored Division in 1940. He fought from North Africa to Sicily to Normandy D+3 all the way to the Elbe and finally linking up with the soviets. He was also stationed in Ber!in as part of the Occupation Force.
I was born in 1988. I served in 1st brigade 66th Armor Regiment. As combat engineer Bradley operator. The sister unit of 2nd Brigade. The oldest Armor battalion in the Army. 4th ID Steadfast and Loyal.
