idowu's first two phases are ridiculous. his landing is what is really holding him back; he'd be number one in the world every year if he just focused on that.
actually if you look at the position of his body when his feet contact the sand he is very much in the same or similar position as the other jumpers. its just that he has slight over rotation on the occasional jump which makes his landing bad. its more the fact that on landing he doesnt lean back and go into a slide away landing. he stays leaning forward. either way its probs better not to change his technique when he is 30 y.o and nearing the end of his career
Yes but its not that easy the way phillips lands on his step he is leaning to much forward to get his legs out its alot harder actually doing it , especially when your trying to carry through as much speed as possible
if you followed the line of his hips he would be landing in the same hole as his feet. him landing like everyone else wouldnt change the distance at all.. its more technical than just the landing.. its the entire jump phase he would have to change
