I received this same unit from Amazon yesterday. I charged it overnight and did my eyebrows & sideburns. It's built well & performed way better than my previous trimmer which I had for almost 15 years & died. The good thing about this trimmer is even if the internal battery dies, you can still use the power cord. Alot of attachments so I have to see which does what. 10/10.
Great job on this. Bought this a year ago, never really used it. Barbers are closed now so I pulled this out and the hair guards and will give myself a trim.
Just purchased this unit at Costco and the charging indicator light does come on. Left it plugged in for 3 hours and nothing. Purchased another to see if it may have just been a faulty unit but nope, same issue. Phillips Customer Service said to charge for 8 hours and that it it is normal to not see the charging indicator light up for the first 4 hours. Did you run into to the same issue?
no! the odds of that happening with 2 units in a row is slim... i turned mine on from the box and it worked... then charged for a while..... it doesn't need 8 hours to charge. if it doesn't work after 8 hours then that makes no sense...
@@LEARNINGCHORDS Maybe the Costco I purchased from received a bad batch? I'm not new to clippers and trimmers so I'd like to think I know what I'm doing and don't think it was user error. I'll probably try again but if it doesn't work out I give up. Thanks
I bought the same one but was disappointed that the charger wasn't a stand versus just a loose plugin wire. It also would have been nice if the labeled the attachment so you would know if they are for your head, beard, or body.
Green ones do have body written on them. The grey ones would be face then. Smaller ones are called stubble guards. Bigger ones are called beard guard. The biggest ones can be used on the head.
is this one good for balls, pubes and pits. i used to have the older body groom but that one few of the blades broke and now its dangerous and more prone to cuts.
it comes with a blade that is a micro head for the balls but I have not tried that. the regular blade will leave you standing in the shower with blood all over the floor. this is awesome for the arms legs chest and neck and back and hands and the upper pubes but if you put this on your box of nads you will be hurting with the regular blade-- it is still my favorite trimmer
@@koolkat214 I came to youtube to see the reviews but yes, I thought it was faulty while changing the blades it turned on, scared the crap outta me! 😂🤣
The trimmer is great. But it doesn't cut close enough to skin to trim your mustache or bear without the need of a razor blade, or at least to define the lines clearly. I'm a bit disappointed in that department. Wish they could have added a closer cut blade at that price
@@LEARNINGCHORDS use the body shaver attachment. The longish which when connected makes it look like a razor. You can harvest all the downstairs growth with no scrapes or nicks even if you use it with a reckless abandon. It performs really well down there and in the arm pit area. Won't feel a thing.
The included instructions for the attachments are useless. The unit shuts off with any repositioning of your hand. Built well but not very user friendly.
