I'm a fan of another NL East team, but I still have to say the Philly Phanatic is probably the most awesome mascot ever. I wish one of my city's professional sports had a mascot as fun loving as the Phanatic.
@Frankie5891 Not all ball games are like this. This was actually the minor league team for the Phillies (Lakewood, NJ Blueclaws). If you want a fun baseball experience and live close enough, I reccomend going to a Blueclaws game.
Any given team loses at least 50-60 games per sason, 60+ losses. So, with 180+ losses left, the Braves will reach that number in three. With 460+ losses, the Cubs would reach it in five. But, for this year at least, Philly can say "Were #1!" as being World Series Champions and #1 in losses. As I mentioned on another video, I have a beer glass commemorating their 10,000the loss in '07. To have that one year and then a World Series trophy the following is pretty cool.
@philliesorca thats really funny cause all the series the silly phillies had were teams slumping while the mets faced hot established teams this season...but im pretty sure owning a teams ass is what the mets did to phillies last season with the shut out sweep (scoreless in 42inn vs. mets)..just saying right?
The Phillies are the only team with 10,000 losses. Check your facts. I love the Phillies too, but you have to admit that they weren't exactly good for the first 100 years of their existence, were they?
Phillies: 8810 wins and 10000 + losses wow Braves: 9778-9817 (will not get 10000 til probably next 5 years (maybe more) yup) Cubs: 10091-9531 (not even close)
