Welcome to Trekking Day 9! Today we hiked about ~13 miles with 2,500 feet of vertical elevation each way to the summit of Baldy Mountain, the highest peak in the Philmont Scout Camp. At the summit, it reaches an insane 12,441 feet above sea level (which is why we were going so slow as we reached it). Apologies for the delay over the holidays, my main editor completely broke so I had to learn a new one and got swept up in finals. Expect consistent uploads until we finish our journey!
Philmont is a BSA High Adventure Camp that my scout troop traveled too over summer this year. Our trip consisted of 2.5 travel days each way, 1 day at base camp, 11 days of trekking, all in New Mexico state and featuring some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the U.S. Here are the videos I filmed along the way, from the bad to the great, about the whole experience.

Next episode will be out Sunday, Jan 16th as I plan to upload these once a week, at the same pace I'm editing them.
Hope you enjoy :)
