Only got my first houseplant in July and I’m hooked! I love Philodendrons so really enjoyed this video. Lovely collection and it gives me something to aim for. I would like to see a similar video of your Syngoniums as I have a soft spot for them too! Recently bought a ‘Pink Splash’ which I love. Great job Claire.
Love your vids! Also just saw your moving vid omg.. I have about 175 plants so I learned a lot! Thnx! I also find myself asking if your p white princess is actually a knight due to the dark stem and growth pattern (not self-heading) ever had this question?
I've got a few jewel orchids, but I have to say I'm not actually a massive fan of traditional orchids (controversial, I know). I appreciate them in other people's houses, but for some reason I've just never fallen in love with them to the point of getting them myself 💚
@@TheJungleHaven Suggestion: try and get your hands on something like phal. schilleriana, it'll probably tick your foliage boxes, plus nice blooms that bonus, are also fragrant!
Pon is a substrate alternative to soil made up of pumice, lava rock, slow release fertiliser and zeolites (it kind of looks like lots of small rocks). It's used for semi-hydroponic growing and offers a great water/air ratio for your plants, meaning their roots rarely get too compact and can simply feed off the water and nutrients they need. It's really great stuff! Lechuza Pon is the most well known brand, and here in the UK we also have another one called Soil Ninja that makes it 💚
I just ordered a splendid from Botanicaz 62$ incudes shipping I couldn’t find it anywhere for that price it’s a rooted cutting. Tfs you have gorgeous plants 🌱. My goals are to have PP and WP that large 🫶
Woah! I can't believe how fast those thaumatophyllums are growing! They've popped up in your videos every couple of weeks and each time they look 10 times bigger! It's insane!😮
Hahaha thank you! I had a love hate relationship with her until she really started to grow to be honest... now I'm obsessed with her! Lots of light, high temperatures, high humidity and good nutrients should do the trick 💚
Looking at your melano is making me so jealous. I had to completely chop mine up because the roots rotted once I potted it up… but the two topmost modes are growing roots…so I guess there’s that… and my Verrucosum lost all the leaves, but it’s already putting out new leaves from the nodes, so that’s a relief
Thank you! That's such a shame, but don't stress - they're super fast growing! I had to chop mine last summer because of thrips and my plant now is the result of one propagation 💚
It's grown sooooo much in the last 6 months I honestly can't believe it. Long hours of bright, indirect light, warm temperatures and lots of humidity have worked wonders for it. I also use fish tank water to water it on a fairy regular basis! 💚
They're doing brilliantly on the whole! Sadly the teeny chonk didn't make it and just rotted in the prop box, but the rest all rooted nicely. I've potted up a couple and took a couple to the recent plant swap 💚
your collection is beautiful! i want to start collecting my favorite genus especially plants w sturdy roots and big leaves. i see a few varieties that i’ll add to my list. i have a philo but i’m not sure the variety but none of yours look like mine unfortunately so the hunt continues
Thank you so much! It's really satisfying to look at individual plant collections. Ooooh I hope you manage to identify it soon. What does it look like? Are it's leaves smooth or velvety? 💚
@@TheJungleHaven same here ! the leaves very smooth and bright green. the leaves are heart shaped but my first new leaf unfurled huge with a small section fenestrated so i thought it was a mislabeled monestra but my second new leaf unfurled like a double crescent moon. its been a slow growing due to an accident (being knocked down and battered ) it is very leggy (still working on the light) but the stems were tall when i got it so now its leaning. im happy its growing but id love to figure it out to better suit its needs
