matt Weigs one of the only good things about religion, and there are very few. Motivation for powerful and positive lyrics is one of the better ones, for sure.
I always find that most Christian metal is A lot more Christian than the church as most of these guys have gone through hell and come out the other side where churches just haven't.
@@Greatsword585 You know, they're part of the church :) Into churches there is a lot of people who know suffering and brokenness, but they choose to stay faithful to God somehow. I really appreciate how Phinehas (and others bands like Wolves at the gate, and classical people) sing for God, even if suffering has marked them.

Don't comment often but this deserves appreciation. One of my all time favorite tracks and helped me through a rough patch after I dropped Acid (only time) and comepletely gave my life to God after. Used this song to get through it, and Wishing Well. Top tier ✌✌
I've said it many times. Emotionally and sonically, heaviness comes primarily from contrast and buildup. The breakdown wouldn't hit as hard without such a beautiful song to lead to it. That's the beauty of it

Seems like, from the lyrics, that it may have something to do with a person's problem with drugs and how that conflicted with their relationship with a girl?
@@ProducerJames91 It's actually about a friend of theirs who became mute for seven years following an accident. I'm not sure what kind, but given the lyrics, it was likely a car accident. They awoke in immense pain surrounded by glass and blood, wanting to scream in pain but unable to. The second verse seems to describe the friend's time in hospital. Then there is the Speak movement of the song.
Phinehas keeps surprising me with tracks i haven't listened to apparently. Just when i thought i heard their best song in Fleshkiller, i found I Am The Lion. Just when i thought i heard their best song in I Am The Lion, i found My Horses Are Many. Just when i thought i heard their best song My Horses Are Many, i find this one.
+joe0404 probably because of the time. I have found that people enjoy songs the most when the are done from 3:30 to 4 mins long. This one is 6 mins so they probably just dont want to listen for that long, but I could be wrong about that.
+joe0404 I'm largely an atheist, but I can still respect bands of any religion (and I do mean any) as long as the musical talent is there and the message isn't overly-annoying. This track is great.
