Don't remember getting a wristband, but got in. Found a sack of shrooms on the stairs right before the encore, of course I ate them, missed last train home to nj, took a different train getting me 15 miles from home. Started to pour the second I got off train. Walked whole way home until a cop picked me up and drove me the last half mile. Worth every step.
I love a nice long Piper Tube and Ya Mar they are some of those songs that deserve space to breathe and find the funk or bluegrass in the case of The Mustangs great cover Phish does it better than the writers original That is rare There are good at covering most anything except Rap or Heavy Metal like Golden Age it is a great jam vehicle for Phish but the first 4 min are usually rather sloppy or Trey just cant sing nearly as good as the 4 black men ironically that made that song Such a great cover but it deserves a real singer and Mike the only of the fabulous 4 that can pull off funk and bluegrass w his bass in songs like Ya Mar
funny sidenote I made it to radio city second night with that amzing ghost, hardest ticket tried to get ever, but this was after and actually some of it aired on vh1. first tube, yem, Cavern with lyric issues due to VH1 lol. Maybe a get back on the train aired too Hard Rock live was segment. Anyway amazing three show run the crowds outside were as big as inside practically with such small venues. @@Primus-ue4th early oysterhead tapes were awesome. Just like original TAB was Trio being such a jimi band of gypsies fan thats what TAB sounded like in that original gotta jibbo, first tube, going round in circles. Then oysterhead was like modern day traffic what a supergroup and trey and les went back to the 80's. Wish we could have seen that develop in different time period they were all endless amounts of uniue creative energy!!! Icredible :) Um jealous lol hopefully a reunion for real
This is my favorite Wilson. Of sad note is that this is the first night Trey ever snorted Oxycontin. Per the GQ interview, and subsequent follow up, Trey had mentioned "It was 2000, we just sold out 2 nights at Radio City, and then went to play a small club". Watch for when Trey wipes his nose.
Had they only known what comes to follow. You could tell it kicked in hard during simple jam. I had cancer and spent 5 years on 240mg per day of oxy. 5 years later I was injecting heroin. It’s a problem. Clean 2 years now. Hindsight 20/20
