Modlishka (which means "mantis" in Polish) is an open-source and reverse-proxy tool that can be used to perform advanced phishing attacks. It was created by Polish security researcher Piotr Duszynski in 2018 and is designed to be highly configurable and easy to use.
Modlishka works by acting as a man-in-the-middle between the victim's browser and the legitimate website they are trying to access. It can capture and modify all HTTP and HTTPS traffic passing through it, allowing an attacker to steal user credentials and other sensitive information. One of the main advantages of Modlishka is that it is capable of bypassing two-factor authentication mechanisms, making it a powerful tool for cybercriminals.
However, it's important to note that Modlishka is intended to be used for legal and ethical purposes, such as by security researchers and penetration testers who are trying to identify and fix vulnerabilities in their own systems. Using it for malicious purposes could result in legal consequences.
