Man this is a song that hits home to so many I’m sure…. We all fighting a devil. I’ve been an IV drug user in the past and am currently battling with alcohol addiction that’s on the verge of costing me my marriage and my family. I def feel the pain you had when writing this. Was just watching to be a man. You all just smashed that and made an amazing song putting out an amazing message. I carry a DUD .45 caliber on my keychain as when I did put the pressure and pulled it God decided to keep me here. In 20 years of owning, loading, buying and shooting guns of various forms I have never not even once had a dud or round not go off so that said something to me. I do struggle all the time being a business owner isn’t easy but I truly love helping my customers and to be able to give my guys a good life as being an employee years ago I know how to treat them. It just takes respect and working side by side. It’s been a tough year had a scumbag rip me for $300,000 he took 1.5mil from a job in Arizona and skipped. Nobody got paid and then my daughter attempted suicide at college so the hits keep coming. I have made it through this far no alcohol and no pills. Quit the pills a couple year ago cold turkey. Now I hit the blunt to try and sleep and that’s it. I have been on this earth 51 years and it doesn’t get easier but it’s not supposed to either. If it did we would be soft and lazy. It’s the struggle that keeps us going. I am too stubborn to give up and I don’t care what to me. As long as my kids are good I will eternal be good.
