It's so funny/endearing to me when Paul over-explains stuff about his past. "I was in this band, The Beatles, with my bandmate. I don't know if you're aware, but his name was John Lennon." Like, yes, Paul! We all know! The whole world knows!!!
Paul still misses John. That’s very touching! They were such close songwriting partners that he still checks in with what would he have thought. It’s sad but poignant that he wishes he was still alive to collaborate with. He keeps his memory alive. I heard that when he is in NYC, he says he feels he’s closer to him and talks to him. He lost a lifelong friend when that lunatic ended Johns life.
I always get so sad thinking about John Lennon. One of my earliest memories was listening to the Beatles on my cassette Walkman. John Lennon was my favorite. I cried when my family told me he had died. It broke my poor young heart.
She mentioned him before and has roots in singer songwriter rock in the indie scene, of course she knows John's history well. Cmon now she's obviously musically aware and super self aware if you listen to her songs!
I feel like Phoebe was starstruck and nervous, but honestly anyone would be when meeting Paul McCartney and she handled it very well. Super cool that she got to meet him and so happy she has made it to this point.
@@susanklein7448 She handles herself well for sure. Still tho I think anyone in her spot would feel at least a little nervous talking to someone like Paul who they grew up listening to and who is so prolific at this point.
dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you're bored like me atm you can watch all of the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks xD
She handled it well. I’m around her age and I have to be honest, I could not have a conversation with Sir Paul or Sir Elton. I’d cry like an idiot and make them uncomfortable
It's so nice to see collaboration between two different generations of musicians and it's lovely to see Paul McCartney taking an interest in the music and artists of today - the fact that he is so open to the modern era and not allowing himself to be stuck in a timewarp is wonderful. And likewise the openness of modern artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Taylor Swift in collaborating with the older generation.
I just heard the conversation Paul had with Ed O'Brien from Radiohead. It was refreshing to see and hear two great, famous musicians confabulating, placing Elvis on a pedestal higher than the one they are standing on. Amazingly real. Glad these two are still humble.
I had a chance to see Phoebe Bridgers about 3 years ago at a small local venue for about 20 bucks, but passed because I had to work early the next day. Now I’m kicking myself.
The way Phoebe talks about not knowing sheet music and keys and how Tony Berg fills the gap, felt so much like how George Martin filled that gap for Paul.
I love it...such genuinely cool artists describing their creative process and streaming and exchanging "words of wisdom"... making this one a true momentum for you!👍🙏❤️🥰
Best 'collab' on the album. PB's numb/aetherial vocals/atmos and PM's melody and half seemingly knocked-off half brilliant lyrics blend to become something that sounds genuinely vatic. Peace.
Hey you, you're feeling bad, Take a sad world and make it better. Remember to let the past into your heart Then you can start, to make it better. And anytime you feel disdain, Hey you, refrain. Carry the whole world upon your shoulders. For well, you know that I'm a fool Who played it cool And made this Earth a little warmer. Sweet Girl! Maybe I should dodo dodo this too!? WOW! That little Dog! Love Puggies. Had one named Oscar. Wish for a black one. Maybe some day. Be Safe! Best Wishes from Madeira out in the Atlantic
If you watch closely, when both of these amazing artists talk about music, and specifically the creative process, they look into space and re see the moments as they came about. Most artists, and writers have this quality. They literally see with their minds eye, the proper direction to move toward, to find what they are looking for.
It's funny when Paul explains his songs especially the Beatle songs lol not making fun of Paul Dana Carvey does that well lol but I hope he knows that he John ,George and Ringo created the BEST music e
How extremely well Phoebe did, considering she was talking with the greatest living songwriter. She held her own, and put thoughtful, interesting questions to Paul, and Paul to her. Great conversation.
I wonder if Paul wants to know what I'm up to today. I'm not doing that much. Just a photoshoot, recording session, and judging a beauty pageant later. Also heading out for drinks on the top of a skyscraper in the city later. Just another boring day!
Her delivery was annoying. Way too chill. Too cool for school vibes… not even acknowledging that she is talking to someone who has been one of the most influential musicians in the world for over 50 years.
