weird how differently it can be perceived. My husband and i thought they were really cringy. We were very umcomfortable with this obviously quite experienced grown up having sex with this very young girl who had never even been told about sex and almost appeared childlike. but i actually hope that´s what they intended as her inexperience and his not really adressing it enough eventually lead to this major crisis. I find the only sex scene that seemed genuinely intimate was the last one. You can´t achieve real intimacy without communication
Yes true. The interviewer did a great job making her comfortable to be vulnerable, open and honest. He is a very attentive listener. He was really "listening" to her. He gave times to express herself without interrupting mid sentences like I've seen many others do.
@@cjk7063 yess. He let her speak and actually pays attention to what she's saying, I hate interviews where they ask questions and don't even let the person finish answering, or just throw another question in without even paying attention
@@helolange1132 Exactly. But I also think the ones who do that are those who have a script to follow and a in small timeframe. They know that some people will drag their answers to avoid answering more questions, so they're more concern about asking their questions rather than listening for the answers. If you pay attn those don't do active listening, it's more about the questions.
My thoughts exactly! The journalist let her talk and listened intently. He also didn’t treat the sex scene questions as simply titillating. It was refreshingly good. Two things that I kept noticing: 1. Her eyeshadow was AMAZING. 2. I swear I had the shirt he was wearing in middle school in the 80’s.
xxxmickyxxx3 are you dumb? She literally expressed the reason why she cried. Just because you can’t relate to the problems in the series doesn’t mean the same for others
Every daughter needs to listen to Ms. Dynevor’s words here. Thank you to the interviewer for staying clear of the usual PR questions and giving us a glimpse of the actress, not just the character. Bravo!
i love how she goes deep into things and doesn't just shape her answers to be original but actually means what she's saying, it's like talking with a friend
phoebe looks like a mix of dakota johnson x kate winslet x sophie turner and scarlett johansson edit: also i think this is her best interview so far because the interviewer didnt only focus on her chemistry with regé but asked the right questions. cause in her other interviews she gets sidestepped a lot for him and they only ask about her dating life which is annoying.
I work in the film industry too, and hearing Pheobe talk about struggling in her early 20s and the rejection and success is sooo relatable. Much needed!
2:30 that’s so true! That’s probably why I loved the show even more because it feels like every other show/movie is all about the female figure and how we they’re for men. But this definitely flips that around and I love it!!
OMG!!!!! I LOVED this interview ❤ ♥!!! Kudos to the interviewer for giving Phoebe the respect, time and patience to fully be herself. He listened intently and asked thoughtful questions that seemed to get to the core and vulnerability of Phoebe and Daphne. This was also one of the best interviews that Phoebe has done. It is very clear that she is a beautiful, intelligent, and confident young woman, who is "real". She was honest, sincere and confident enough to let us know that she (like most of us) has good and bads days. Sometimes insecurities can get the best of us but learning how to tame the negative talk in our head is most important. Although I love the chemistry that Phoebe and Rege share on and off screen, I oftentimes feel that she is overshadowed by Rege's larger than life and jubilant personality. Please don't get me wrong, I love seeing Rege in interviews, but I want to see more of Phoebe on her own. Kudos to a great interview.
I enjoyed this interview. It is so true. We as an audience/observer only see the successes actors or singers have and if they're not happy we tend to say 'gee I wish I had their problems' which of course is a foolish outlook because like us they have their ups and downs and some like us cope better than others. The most important thing she said was you have to have self worth. I think if you have that you are half way there to whatever you are trying to achieve. It even helps you to handle life's disappointments which can be plentiful.
What a wonderful interview! Love the questions asked! Phoebe has done such a fantastic job with her character...the 'feminist' me was even able to connect with her 'Daphne'.
Lovely to watch this interview. You sound so mature and gracious Phoebe. What a fabulous young lady you have turned into. I’m thrilled to see your success and hope that the industry brings you much more of it. Miss Breese/Mrs Huish - can’t remember what I was when you were doing A Levels! 😂
If that's the case, is it bad of me to be glad she did not get the part? We won't have her own take of Daphne Bridgerton at all if she's Diana in the Crown.
Watching Bridgerton was such a magical experience and I felt so much at home in the way it was presented to the viewer. I couldn't put my finger on it until she elaborated on the show being filmed to pander to the FEMALE gaze.
Same here☺️. However as what Ms. Phoebe shared to us, that scene was the most uncomfortable scene for her😪, but the good thing is that she overcome with it☺️.
Her explanation of the female gaze made me look at Bridgerton from an entirely different perspective. She is so well spoken and down to earth as well as lovely and kind!
Amazing interview! I love Daphne & Simon, their chemistry is so beautiful, so electrifying, so romantic! ^^ I want Season 2! :-) P.S. I first saw Phoebe in an episode of BBC's The Musketeers. Brilliant Actress.
This interview deserves more attention...probably one of the best interviews I've seen for the Bridgerton show. There were new types of questions, and not too repetitive. There's so much you can ask an actress/actor from the show, and it depends on how you put the words together and what perspectives you're trying to bring out. It was nice to hear Phoebe's perspective on all the questions.
I find her very suited for the role. She is a natural and Regé really played the role well too they almost looked like a real couple and they never showed awkwardness. Are they a couple? And I agree the interviewer gave enough time for Phoebe to answer. Enjoyed much watching this video
After I binge-watched the show just for a day, i searched her in ig, no 2nd thoughts, I ff her, she’s so charming and pretty, also she did her character so well.
Josh did amazing on this interview. Love this interview, so much life insights! Love how she shared her struggles 😭 girl i feel ya!!!!! I really love her character and the part where she took over in one of the sex scenes.
This is the best interview I've heard! Hats off to this interviewer as well as Phoebe. His questions, timings, and responses gave Phoebe great scope to discuss thought-provoking topics that were really interesting and naturally flowed.
Thank you for this beautiful interview of Phoebe. I love all hers and Regé’s interviews as they are all quite insightful. Both actors are smart and perceptive.
This is such a good interview - it's refreshing to have an interviewer that actually does some research on their guests / the work in question and asks interesting / original questions!
How I wish that from "reel couple" it will change into a real one😍 Their chemistry is so good to be true, all actors and actresses in "Bridgerton" movie portrayed their roles amazingly and captivatingly, most especially Rege and Phoebe😍.
This has to be one of the most inspirational interviews that I've ever watched! Every young-- struggling-- actor should view this video. The thing I really like about actors is not only their talent but just how brave they are to show their real emotions on the stage and screen. And Phoebe Dynevor absolutely blew me away with her stunning performance on the Bridgertons. Thank you Phoebe! You're a remarkable actress! And thank you Josh for a great interview!
i really like her and she did a great job in this interview. she's so beautiful and authentic. i love the subtle lessons in bridgerton and the notes to feminism.
I really like this interview, she is a good actress, she is smart and talented, and I think one of the best scenes is that she says was very difficult for her, she did great !!! amazin job
