Most of the music is old hence the name dinosaur karaoke
I started making home made karaoke to pass time with my late mother. I started putting them on-line when the pandemic hit hard and people my age were urged to stay at home.
There are some medleys (mash-ups?) of commercially available karaoke files
Some songs which never received much air time.
A few where I'm not at all sure about the lyrics so I tried my best
Some instrumental songs to which I added lyrics

JUST clicked on your site and it said this came up one minute ago! I'm reasonably sure the original hit version was by Doris Day. Title of a film with Clark Gable? Him & Gregory Peck were my dear Mum's favourite actors. Sadly because of the horrendous life my bastard of a so-called father gave her, she rarely if ever went to a cinema. He got his though...........Giving Mum some almost worry-free later years. A good song. Thanks.

Hi Trevor, I don't know who sung the original, but now I think I saw that movie with my mom. In those years mom worked evenings as a waitress and at times took us to see chick flicks during the daytime. Dad would take us on the weekend to see movies like Rodan and Godzilla. It certainly is a good song and has been done by all sorts of people. There is even a youtube video of Amy Whinehouse singing it with Jools Holland. The song had completely left my mind until a few years back, when some friends sang it as a duet/medley with Sincerely. That was based on the Barry Manilow / Phyllis McGuire rendition of those songs.

@@DinosaurKaraoke Hey dere George. I never enjoyed school and am quietly confident that I still hold the record for absences, however I rarely got teachers mixed up. Until now.......'Twas " Teacher's Pet" starring Gable & Day! 1958. Supported by the cowardly murderer of his Australian wife, the often lop-sided smiler, Gig Young. Nasty bastard. I'm glad my incorrect comment brought back a happy memory of your life with your Mom. I am reasonably certain that Doris - MY Mum's first name - sang the title song over the opening credits. Also quite a hit recording for Dot. I think that's an abbreviation for Doris? Although I never heard my Mum called it. Your upload is also a very good record. Keep up the great work.

I knew nothing much about Gig Young other than his name. So I researched him a bit. Was not surprised to learn he was an alcoholic, as so many people are. Did learn he lost a number of roles because of it, including Gene Wilder's role in Blazing Saddles, and John Forsythe's role as Charlie's voice in the Charlie's Angels tv series. Also learned he had a total of five wives including Elizabeth Montgomery. And of course his last wife who died by his hand in a murder suicide. In the words of Billy Ward, as recounted in a famous biography of Jackie Wilson. Two things can destroy a man, booze and broads. That book also taught me that it is probably easier to like celebrities if you don't know too much about them.
