I experience a long travel from Phoenix to Las Vegas! This was the order of the commute I did in which was interstate 10, interstate 17, interstate 40, route 68, route 163, route 95 and interstate 515.
The Tillman-O'Shaugnessy Bridge (which takes US 93 - and eventually Interstate 11) between Arizona and Nevada replaced the bridge portion of Hoover Dam. Hoover Dam is not the only dam that also acts/acted as a bridge - let alone the only hydroelectric dam that does or did so; Conowingo Dam - in my home state of Maryland - carries US 1 over the Susquehanna River.
US Route 93 North at 7:06 begins in Wickenburg, the old former Arizona State Route 93 from Nogales to Wickenburg was decommissioned in 1991, when US Route 93 South extended to its now current terminus where it comes to an end in Wickenburg.
Three months later you were at the northern terminus of highway 93 in Jasper, Alberta.. Southern terminus of highway 93 is at the traffic circle in Wickenburg, Arizona. Not many can say "been there done that"!!
That section is duplexed with US 93 (and ate part of I-515). That is why the rest of US-93 - in both directions - is a candidate for duplexing (and the rest of I-515 is a candidate for consumption to the north). The issue - again in both directions - is the rest of the path. Another candidate (northbound) is US 95 to Reno - which leads to a Interstate 11/15 duplex (in addition to improving US 95 to Interstate standards north of Interstate 15 to Reno (parts of US 95 are already Interstate standard north of Las Vegas and south of Reno).
I drive all the time, the airlines tickets are like $39 $49 or $59, but I'm too lazy to fly because there lots of work and lots of paper work you have to do, parking your car at airport lot of walking, take your shoes off at security, getting on the plane, and getting off the plane, walk to bagadge clame so its easier to drive than to fly.
I drove this exact route just 2-days before you with the exception of going I-17 North to AZ State Route 74 (Carefree Highway) west to US-60. And I think I'm detecting a fellow train fan since it seems the railroad over/underpasses get highlighted in your videos while many other things go unmentioned.
Thank you for not playing confounded music, not that I don't like music, but some of it's much too loud and not appropriate. Especially rap. I'm leaving in the morning for Boise Idaho looking for the best route.
My greatest regret (and it's definitely mine) is that I never got to at least meet her - despite two trips to Las Vegas - the last of which was three years ago.
