Libre Le Potato is also a really good alternative to the rpi3+/4. It has emmc support and is quite fast for $35 (without emmc). It's supposed to be on par with the rpi3b+ in terms of processing power but it's the emmc that is a huge boost. The GPIO pins are compatible with the rpi so you can definitely connect via uart.

It looks like there is no heated bed, are you running it on the glass with no heat?

Correct, I was not using a heated bed at the time. I opted to use a glue stick and all my prints stuck perfectly fine! :)

Shouldn't be going crazy fast? Sounds like a challenge to me

Ok, but by the time your delta is going crazy fast, (which I know it will be) is it even a Phoenix anymore? 🤣

Do you have issues printing on a wider bed surface?
@GearheadCreations
@GearheadCreations 6 месяцев назад
I am using 400mm arms, so a 310mm diameter bed isn’t much of an issue. Biggest annoyance with a bed that large, I’d say, is trying to keep everything level

@GearheadCreations

Haha you’ll figure it out. Start with tightening extrusions and belts and making sure everything is square (or triangle?). Also make sure that your z-offset is dialed in

@@GearheadCreations i am almost sure about the mechanical part, i think the klipper part needs tinkering.

With the setup shown, (800mm tall extrusions) I am getting around 280-320mm of z height

@GearheadCreations

Yes, I use Klipper. To calibrate the first layer I use 3-point automatic bed leveling with the Duet Smart Effector
