+troposhere747 Thank you for the comment. What I like about this particular model is that besides having excellent flight characteristics it has two piece fuselage (that is the only way it would fit in my car) and can be assembled easily.
Hi Ruben: I'm almost done with the P51. How much weight did you have to use to balance the CG on the plane??? I'm hoping to maiden this Sat! Thanks, Bruce
Ruben, just read through the comments to get some idea of what to expect with the build and set-up. After owning this for a while now, do you have any thoughts on things you wish you did before, or anything you'd change? (I did read about what you did with the air retract kit) Thanks for any suggestions. Also, did your kit come from ZigiRC?
+qbano55 No mixing. With factory CG and full flaps down (about 35 deg) on final approach cut the throttle almost to idle and it will float in. The landing gear is not very solid, specially the nose gear. If the plane bounces on landing apply throttle to soften the impact. It is very easy to fly. I will try to be at BS on Saturday. Good luck with Maiden.
Hi Ruben, I love this plane! Another question: Have you had any issues with bolts coming loose on elevators? Is there any way I could hire whoever made your video to make one for me? Thanks! Bruce
+qbano55 Hi Bruce, do you mean horizontal stabilizers? Yes, you have to tighten the bolts every few flights. Other pilots mentioned the same in one of the blogs. The video was recorded with my Sony 4K capable camera. I asked one of the fellow pilots to record the whole process and then did some heavy editing.
It appears you swapped out the tubing that came with the kit for retracts with Robart tubing and couplers, correct? I didn't care for their couplers or tubing.

Sorry, it is too much work to ship and expensive, perhaps as much as ZigiRC charges. So you better off to buy from them. The one I have is for local pick up only.
