Hello Rosy, recently purchased a 20 hp rotary Phase converter, I was planning to run 60 amp breaker off my single phase panel with 2 guage wire to my phase converter then 6 guage wire to my motor then continue 6 guage wire about 35 feet away to a non fuse 3 phase disconect then to my 5hp 3 phase Table saw.. what are your thoughts, should i have a switch to turn on/off the motor?, i don't see it on my diagrm that came with converter or on your installation video, Thanks, Anthony
You won't need the switch if you plan to shut the whole system down every time you're done with the saw through the 60 amp breaker. If you don't want to shut the whole system down then yes, put the switch in so you don't run the motor constantly when the third leg isn't needed.
